摘要: A method for providing a channel service is disclosed. In accordance with the present invention, a fixed information including a BUMF information, an SF information and a playlist information and a variable information including a clip information associated with a streaming data of a selected channel service are transmitted to a playback apparatus supporting a BD-J specification, thereby enabling a Blu-ray player incapable of playing the streaming data to provide viewers with the streaming data of the channel service.

摘要: The present principles include methods and apparatus for repairing corrupted files systems of storage devices. In accordance with aspects of the present principles, a listing of sectors to which data is most recently written is retrieved upon interruption of writing operations on a storage medium. The listing is employed to implement a targeted search for sectors that are most likely to be corrupted. The sectors providing in the listing are examined and sectors including errors are identified. Thereafter, the errors are corrected.

摘要: A data reproducing apparatus, which is capable of reproducing stream data according to time stamps without need to have an independent time counting clock. At step S141, it is determined whether a received access unit has a time stamp. When the access unit has a time stamp, the flow advances to step S142. At step S142, a value of the time stamp is set. When the access unit does not have a time stamp. The flow advances to step S144. At step S144, a value corresponding to the previous pic_struct is added to the current time. Thereafter, the flow advances to step S143. At step S143, the current pic_struct is stored for the next process. The present invention is capable of being applied to for example a game device using a DVD.

摘要: There is provided a method for execution by a processor of a media playback device to provide media content. The method includes receiving streaming audio data. The streaming audio data comprises a plurality of audio data clips, each audio data clip having a clip size. The method includes providing a circular queue. The circular queue is characterized by a queue size that is at least two or more clip sizes. The circular queue is used to store a plurality of queue clips, each with a clip size. Each of the plurality of audio data clips is stored into one of the plurality of queue clips of the circular queue. After the circular queue has been filled, the method includes sequentially reading and playing the streaming audio data from each one of the plurality of queue clips of the circular queue. Finally, the method includes a step to continue storing a next one of the plurality of audio data clips into a read one of the plurality of queue clips of the circular queue.

摘要: A system and method for selective recording of information uses sequential pattern matching of statistical vectors which characterize incoming time-based information to identify previously marked information within an incoming information stream. The system and method generate a signal to control a recording device to either elide the previously marked information from the recording, or to begin recording once the previously marked information is identified, depending upon the current mode of operation. The system and method may be utilized to omit recording of unwanted information, such as commercials in a television broadcast, or to automatically locate desired information on any of a number of available information channels without a priori knowledge of the occurrence time or channel of the information.

摘要: At step S372, permission information about video data that are being reproduced is obtained from permission information that represents whether video data corresponding to encoded video data equal to or larger than an access unit are permitted to be secondarily used. At step S373, it is determined whether the video data that are being reproduced have been permitted to be secondarily used corresponding to the permission information. When it has been determined that the video data that are being reproduced have been permitted to be secondarily used, at step S376, the video data that are being reproduced are captured. At step S381, a process using the captured video data is executed. The present invention can be applied to for example a game device that uses a DVD.
