    Abstract: The surface light emitting device includes an organic EL element, a protection substrate, a protection part, and a light extraction structure part. The element has a first face and a second face opposite to the first face, and emits light from the first face. The substrate has transparency for light emitted from the element, and is placed facing the first face, and has a primary surface facing the first face of the element. The protection part is placed facing the second face of the element, and constitutes a housing in combination with the substrate and accommodates the element so as to protect the element from water. The structure part is interposed between the first face of the element and the substrate, and suppresses reflection of light emitted from the element on at least one of the first face of the element and the primary surface of the substrate.

    Abstract: A recording apparatus is disclosed which includes first through n-th recording means for recording input broadcast contents to a recording medium. When a user designates a reservation of a broadcast content recording, the apparatus automatically selects one of the recording means so as to make the recording reservation to the selected recording means. If any such recording means cannot be selected automatically, i.e., if recording reservations have already been made to all recording means for a time slot corresponding to the reservation desired to be made anew, then the user is asked to select particular recording means for the reservation. A recording reservation made to one recording means may be switched automatically to another recording means as needed. That is, any recording reservation after being made may be switched from one recording means to another before actual execution of the recording, in order to reflect the status of other recording reservations that have been made since. These arrangements enhance the user's ease of operation and help to build an advantageous setup for recording reservation management.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an information processing system, information processing apparatus and method, recording medium and program, adapted to exchange picture-recording schedule information between the terminals. A user apparatus 3-2 registers generated picture-recording schedule information to a server 2-1 through a network 1, together with the information representative of a providing destination. The server 2-1, when registering the picture-recording schedule information, makes a notification to a user apparatus 3-1 as a providing destination thereof. The video recording/reproducing apparatus 11 of the user apparatus 3-1 accesses the server 2-1 through the network 1, and designates a picture-recording schedule program desired for scheduling of picture-recording of among the programs registered in the picture-recording schedule information. The server 2-1 sends the schedule information on a designated program to the video recording/reproducing apparatus 11 through the network 1. The video recording/reproducing apparatus 11 receives this and makes a scheduling of picture-recording on the basis of the picture-recording schedule information. The invention is applicable to the hard-disk video recorder.
