摘要： A sterile, hemostatic clip for use in occluding vessels. The clip comprises a pair of leg members resiliently connected at a pivot area disposed between the ends of said leg members. A wedge member is used to cause one portion of the leg members to diverge even more and consequently cause the opposing portions to converge and occlude a vessel placed therebetween.

摘要： A cartridge for holding a plurality of plastic, snap-closure hemostatic clips in a manner which allows each clip to be individually loaded into a forceps-type clip applier. The cartridge consists of an elongated body having a stepped central rail on which open clips are positioned with the head of the clip resting on the step on one side of the rail, and the tail of the clip projecting into a space on the opposite side of the rail. Means are provided for retaining the clips in position on the rail until loaded into the clip applier.

The hub comprises a body with a passageway therethrough for the passage of the catheter tube, and includes a thin-walled, pierceable annular flange integrally formed on one end of the body. One leg terminates in a hook member which secures the other leg when the clip is closed. The clip applier is a forceps-type instrument having channeled jaws especially adapted to receive and close the clip.

The hub comprises a body with a passageway therethrough for the passage of the catheter tube. A resilient seal is associated with the passageway and is integrally formed on the body. This seal is adapted to permit the catheter tube to be slid into the passageway but is adapted to bear against the periphery of the tube to effect a seal around the tube. Thus, in use, liquid is prevented from leaking out of the hub.
