摘要： A seat belt retractor has a rotatable spool mounted in a frame, a primary locking mechanism for arresting rotation of the spool and a load absorbing mechanism arranged to come into effect at a predetermined load for absorbing a portion of the spool locking load. The load absorbing mechanism may be a section of an inwardly facing peripheral edge of the frame having a serrated or roughened texture and which is positioned and adapted so that above a predetermined load it co-operates with a smooth surfaced spool bearing face to absorb some of the load. Spool rotation is prevented on engagement of the primary locking mechanism and the load on the primary mechanism rises causing the frame side walls to deform and the serrated or roughened section is pushed closer to, and eventually against the spool bearing face, roughening the smooth surface and increasing its coefficient of friction to absorb some of the load and resist rotation of the spool.

摘要： As a lubricant for cold-working of metal there is provided on the surface of the metal to be subjected to working a solid film of a saturated aliphatic monohydric alcohol having 14 to 18 carbon atoms. After the metal has been worked, the solid lubricant may be removed by heating without causing staining of the metal surface. The solid lubricant film may additionally contain from 1 to 10% by weight of a polybutene, petroleum jelly or butyl stearate to modify the properties of the lubricant film.

摘要： The latex polymer compositions of the present invention exhibit latent crosslinking properties. Latent crosslinking in the polymers takes advantage of the fast reaction that occurs between amine-reactive carbonyl groups in the polymer component and carbonyl-reactive amine nitrogens in the crosslinking component, but controls the rate of crosslinking by protonating the amines with a volatile acid. Once the latex is coated onto a substrate, the volatile acid evaporates and the carbonyl reactive amine nitrogens react with the amine reactive carbonyl groups to form a crosslinked coating.

The web is printed with a thickened ink which dries to form a ribbed pattern. Coloration of the ink may be provided by ground cigar or cigarette offal.
