    摘要: The present invention provides processes for making higher molecular weight, functionalized poly(meth)acrylamide polymer products. As an overview, the processes use (trans)amidation techniques in the melt phase to react one or more high molecular weight amide functional polymers or copolymers with at least one co-reactive species comprising at least one labile amine moiety and at least one additional functionality other than amine functionality. In practical effect, the processes of the present invention thus incorporate one or more additional functionalities onto an already formed or partially formed polymer rather than trying to incorporate all functionality via copolymerization techniques as the polymer is formed from constituent monomers. The methods provide an easy way to provide functionalized, high molecular weight poly(meth)acrylamide polymer products.

    摘要: A method of forming a composite panel or board includes the step of adding phyllosilicate clay to a thermosetting resin and natural fibres. The natural fibres include hardwood fibre, softwood fibre, grain straw, hemp fibre, kenaf fibre, bagasse fibre, palm fibre, canola straw fibre, flax straw fibre, rapeseed straw fibre, wheat straw fibre, oat straw fibre, barley straw fibre, rice straw fibre or rye straw fibre. The thermosetting resin may include phenol formaldehyde, urea formaldehyde, melamine formaldehyde, melamine urea formaldehyde, or methylenediphenyl diisocynanate. The phyllosilicate clay may include nanoparticulate clay and may include natural, modified or synthetic forms of sodium montmorillonite, montmorillonite, nontronite, beidellite, volkonskoite, laponite, hectorite, saponite, sauconite, magadite, kenyaite, stevensite, vermiculite, halloysite, or hydrotactite.

    摘要: A quantum-well infrared photodetector (QWIP) is presented. The photodetector includes a substrate, a buffer layer, a first conductive layer, a multiple quantum well, an optional blocking layer, and a second conductive layer. Substrate is composed of a monocrystal which may be removed after fabrication. Remaining layers are composed of group III-V nitrides, including binary, ternary, and quaternary compositions. Alternate embodiments of the present invention include a doped binary alloy along first and second conductive layers, a binary alloy along buffer and blocking layers, and alternating alloys of binary, ternary and quaternary compositions within the multiple quantum well. The present invention responds to infrared light at normal and oblique incidences, from near infrared to very far infrared.

    摘要: An enclosure includes a front panel (12), a pivotable bezel (14) and a pair of female hinges (16). A pair of male hinges (42) extends from one side of an inner surface of the bezel. Each male hinge includes a flange (4220) and a pivot column (4240). Each female hinge includes a rear wall (68) attachable to the front panel, and an engaging portion (61) extending perpendicularly from the rear wall. The engaging portion defines a groove (634), and a notch (630) spaced from the groove. The groove receives the flange of the corresponding male hinge. A recess (6302) is defined at the notch, for rotatably receiving the pivot column of the corresponding male hinge. The bezel further forms a catch (44), for engaging with a slot (202) of the front panel. The bezel is thereby easily and securely attached to the front panel.

The front panel defines an opening (24) for providing access to the bracket, and a pair of screw holes (30) on opposite sides of the opening respectively. A pair of first ears (26) extends from the front panel at each side of the opening. The bracket includes a front wall (42) and a pair of side walls (44) perpendicular to the front wall. A pair of second ears (48) extends from the side walls and pivotally attached to the first ears of the front panel. A pair of locating tabs (54) extends from the front wall and each tab defines a through hole (56) therein, corresponding to and engaging at the screw holes of the front panel by bolts. The bracket is thereby secured to the front panel.
