摘要: Embodiments relate to systems and methods for touch-based two-stage text input. An electronic device (102), such as a wearable wireless device, can be configured with a two-stage input interface (116) on a display (104). A first stage can include a seek area (120), which displays a subset of letters or other symbols to represent the full range of symbolic elements that are available, in a compressed form. The user can identify an intended target range (128) by touching an area at or around the letter or other symbol of interest. That input triggers the display of a second stage of the interface in a separate selection area (122), in which all letters or other symbols in the target range are expanded and displayed. The user can then touch and lift off the letter or other symbol they wish to choose, for example, to insert in a message or application.

摘要: An electronic device includes a housing defining an opening, a button mechanism, and a fixing portion. The button mechanism includes a button cap depressibly received in the opening, a light guiding plate with the button cap mounted on a first side thereof, and a connecting portion. The connecting portion is mounted on an opposite second side of the light guiding plate, and includes a resisting member, and a tab protruding from the resisting member. The fixing portion is received in the housing, and includes a block defining a slot with the tab extending therethrough, an light source for illuminating the light guide plate, a switch to switch on or off the light source and the electronic device. The switch is configured to switch on or off the light source and the electronic device. The button mechanism is depressible so as to enable the resisting member to actuate the switch.

摘要: An electronic device comprises a housing, a battery retainer arranged in the housing, a battery, a movable member and at least one resilient member. The battery retainer defines a battery cavity and a spring tab. The battery retained in the battery cavity defines a recessed portion and a protrusion protruding from the bottom of the recessed portion. The recessed portion defines a plurality of sloped surfaces and vertical walls surrounding the protrusion. The protrusion defines a side wall. The movable member comprises a first end rotatably connected to the battery retainer and a second end connecting the sloped surfaces. After the battery is pushed into the battery cavity, one of the sloped surfaces engages the second end of the movable member to move until the second end disengages from the side wall of the protrusion.

摘要: An embodiment generally relates a method of joining a call. The method includes establishing the call between an internal mobile terminal (MT), an external MT, and a network access point (NAP). The call comprises a connection between the internal MT and the NAP and a second connection between the NAP and the external MT. The method also includes sensing the call by a second internal MT and joining the call from the second internal MT by depressing a send key without entering a number on the second internal MT.

摘要: A configuration scanning system is described herein that scans a system configuration database for malware-related information with less impact on other operations that access the system configuration database. The system employs techniques to reduce the impact on other operations that access the configuration database, including parsing a file-based stored version of the configuration database, accessing the configuration database using opportunistic locking, and caching configuration information obtained by scanning the configuration database. In this way, the system is able to respond to requests antimalware programs using cached information without impacting other programs using the configuration database. Thus, the configuration scanning system protects a computer system against malware while reducing the burden on the configuration database and on other programs that access the configuration database.
