    摘要: A control chip for updating firmware in an optical disk drive by hardware. The control chip includes a microprocessor for controlling actions of the optical disk drive, a decoder controlled by the microprocessor and connected to an external buffer memory and a host interface, a controller controlled by the microprocessor and connected to the decoder to receive control signals and data of the optical disk drive, an extra memory connected to the microprocessor for storing an update program routine, a DMA unit controlled by the microprocessor to read data from the external buffer memory, and a macro unit controlled by the microprocessor to receive data output from the DMA unit and to write the data into the non-volatile memory. Because the firmware is updated into the flash memory in the hardware architecture, the speed is fast and the microprocessor can execute other works while updating.

    摘要: A tube connector has a main body, a restricting element, and a sealing ring. The main body has a mounting segment extending outwardly and transversely to form an inner annular space to accommodate the restricting element and the sealing ring. When the tube body is inserted, the tube body will be engaged and positioned by teeth of the restricting element. The sealing ring and the restricting element abut each other to maintain the sealing from the sealing ring. The changes of the pressure from the fluid transporting in the tube body will move the tube body and the main body relatively to and fro, and thus the abutting force against the sealing ring will increase or decrease accordingly, which maintains the elasticity of the sealing ring to maintain the sealing after a long time of use, thereby avoiding elastic fatigue and prolonging the lifespan.

    摘要: A circuit for performing demura operation for a display panel of a computerized device is provided. The circuit includes an arithmetic unit for converting input luminance codes (e.g., grayscale codes) that correspond to a first group of pixels to output luminance codes by computation, and a lookup table unit having a storage module for mapping input luminance codes that correspond to a second group of pixels to output luminance codes. Such a configuration uses the lookup table unit to replace some computations for demura operation, thereby reducing time and power required for demura operation.

    摘要: A method for reducing a size of data required for recording a physical characteristic of an optical device is proposed. By performing variable-length coding on sub-pixel data pieces that respectively represent physical characteristics of multiple sub-pixels of the optical device based on a similarity in spatial trend of the physical characteristics of the sub-pixels, a plurality of pixel-index data pieces are generated, and a part of the sub-pixel data pieces can thus be removed to obtain reduced sub-pixel data pieces. The pixel-index data pieces and the reduced sub-pixel data pieces cooperatively replace the sub-pixel data pieces to serve as an index for finding the physical characteristics of the sub-pixels.

    摘要: A copy-protected image display system is provided to include an eyeglasses display device, and an image content server that stores a source image, and device information that corresponds to the eyeglasses display device. The image content server introduces a small data change into the source image based on the device information to obtain a first modified image, converts the first modified image into a second modified image based on an image modification rule, and transmits the second modified image to the eyeglasses display device through a data transceiving device. The eyeglasses display device converts the second modified image back to the first modified image, and displays the first modified image.
