    Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method of apportioning, by a processing system including a processor, a viewable area of a display screen into a main area and an application area; downloading, by the processing system, media content; displaying, by the processing system, the media content within the main area of the display screen; extracting, by the processing system, metadata from the media content; and providing, by the processing system, the metadata to an application, wherein the application: downloads information associated with the metadata provided in the media content, applies a bitrate limit to the downloading of the information to prevent interference with the downloading of the media content, generates display content based on the information, and sends the display content for displaying within the application area of the display screen concurrently with the media content being displayed in the main area of the display screen. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    Abstract: Using a message bus controller to protect 5G core elements can include accessing, by a computing device that executes a message bus controller, a message in a message bus of a packet core of a cellular network. The message can be generated by a first network function and transmitted to a second network function via the message bus, wherein the second network function can subscribe to messages from the first network function. The computing device can determine if delivery of the message to the second network function should be restricted. If so, the computing device can drop the message, and if not, the computing device can allow a message flow associated with the message to resume.

    Abstract: Multiple deception techniques utilized to mislead malicious entities that attempt to gather information associated with a computing device are implemented by changing a single result. In one aspect, requests for screen captures are intercepted and it is determined whether the requests are triggered due to user interaction (e.g., pressing a button and/or key) and/or received from an authorized application/device. If determined that the requests are not triggered due to user interaction and/or are received from an unauthorized application/device, a response comprising one of several pre-prepared or dynamically generated screen captures that are embedded (and/or appended) with misleading information (e.g., fake credentials, fake documents marked as important/hidden, etc.) is generated. Applications that attempt to utilize the misleading information can be flagged as malware.

The second wireless radio access network can initiate a second wireless coupling of the mobile device and the communication network to complete a handover of the voice over internet protocol call session to the second wireless radio access network responsive to a handover request from the first wireless radio access network.
