A device and method for making puzzle tags are disclosed. The device is a kiosk that utilizes a cutting instrument to cut tag plates, based on cutting pattern selection input provided by a customer, into a series of pieces that form a first puzzle tag. The device and method disclosed herein may also facilitate the production and distribution of a second puzzle tag that is the inverse image of the first puzzle tag and formed from the materials leftover from construction of the first puzzle tag.

A system for communicating with an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network is provided. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, an intermediate node having a controller element to receive from a non IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) compliant node a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message having a calling party number and a called party number, and insert in the SIP message a request that instructs a receiving IMS-compliant node to bypass validation of the calling party number. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

Methods and apparatus to select a peered voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) border element are disclosed. An example method comprises receiving a session initiation protocol (SIP) message that includes an identifier representative of a location of a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) access border element, querying a telephone number mapping (ENUM) database to identify two or more peered VoIP border elements, and selecting a one of the two or more peered VoIP border elements based on the identifier.

Disclosed herein is a method and system for providing copyright protection for blog posts prior to publication from within a running blog-publishing software application by automatically assembling and electronically submitting a copyright application for the blog post to the United States Copyright Office through the use of a portable application programming interface, which may be utilized by third-party blog-publishing applications, and then automatically publishing the blog post through the blog-publishing application once submission of the electronic copyright application for the blog post is confirmed. Additionally disclosed is a method and system of registering a blog post in order to memorialize the creation of the blog post from within a running blog-publishing application through the use of a portable application programming interface, which may be utilized by third-party blog-publishing applications, and then automatically publishing the blog post through the blog-publishing application once registration of the blog post is confirmed.

A sender is identified based at least in part on originator identification information associated with an incoming communication. A message recipient is then determined based at least in part on the identified sender and one or more databases associated with message recipients by comparing the originator identification information to one or more entries in the one or more databases. The incoming communication is routed to the determined message recipient of a shared mailbox of a unified messaging system. An intended recipient is identified among the owners of the shared unified messaging mailbox owners. Only the determined message recipient is notified of the deposited message, based on the dynamic information derived from each deposited message.

Disclosed example methods include receiving a call screening termination message at a feature server of an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem, initiating a communication session between a first user device operable with the Internet protocol multimedia subsystem and a second user device operable with the Internet protocol multimedia subsystem in response to the call screening termination message, the first and second user devices being involved in a call screening session, and releasing a signaling resource of a messaging server, the signaling resource having been used in the call screening session.

Methods and apparatus to route a communication session directly to a voicemail mailbox are disclosed. An example method includes receiving a communication session initiation message from a caller at a source telephone number, the communication session initiation message including a destination telephone number and a direct voicemail feature identifier, determining that the direct voicemail feature identifier indicates that the caller requests that the call be sent to a voicemail mailbox associated with the destination telephone number, and forwarding the call directly to the voicemail mailbox associated with the destination telephone number without ringing the destination telephone number.
