摘要: Apparatus and methods for managing content delivery in a packetized network. In one embodiment, the network provide content to a plurality of clients via a plurality of nodes and origin points, and resources are discreetly represented (e.g., with IP addresses, such as those afforded under the IPv6 protocol) to allows for direct advertisement of resources. Exemplary solutions described herein further advantageously leverage extant architectures and protocols (such as BGP), and make use of a common control plane, which can be utilized for example by different content delivery network (CDN) operators and different delivery components to advertise resources. Internally within a given CDN, increased granularity of resource addressing and advertisement may provide benefits including: (i) resource affinity; (ii) resource-level balancing; (iii) dynamic resource scoping; and (iv) “zero-touch” provisioning and resource relocation.

摘要: One example method of operation may include identifying a call from a calling device destined for a mobile device, identifying a calling device number associated with the calling device and a mobile device number associated with the mobile device, determining whether a stored calling relationship exists between the calling device number and the mobile device number, and appending one of a plurality of caller identification names (CNAM) to the call based on the determination as to whether there is a stored calling relationship.

摘要: Some embodiments relate to methods for provisioning a secondary wireless device with an eSIM for wireless communication and activating multi-SIM functionality between the secondary wireless device and a primary wireless device having a subscribed SIM. The primary wireless device may act as a proxy in obtaining the eSIM for the secondary wireless device. The primary wireless device may then provide, to the cellular network, identifiers of the SIMs of the primary and secondary wireless devices. The primary wireless device may then request initiation of multi-SIM functionality for the two SIMs, and receive an indication that the multi-SIM functionality has been initiated. As an example, the multi-SIM functionality may be implemented by mapping the SIM of the primary wireless device and the SIM of the secondary wireless device (e.g., the provisioned eSIM) to the same Mobile Directory Number (MDN).

In one aspect of the present disclosure, a media access control address of a communication interface is converted to an Internet protocol address for a logical entity associated with the communication interface. When the apparatuses and methods of the present disclosure receive a communication signal including the converted Internet protocol address, the communication signal is provided to the logical entity associated with the Internet protocol address. In another aspect of the present disclosure, a user input received at a communication interface is mapped to an Internet protocol address to send a request to a logical entity.

摘要: A method of determining location of a wireless communication service subscriber based on a user equipment (UE) self-identifying to a WiFi access point (AP) without establishing a data session between the UE and the WiFi AP. The method comprises receiving an identity of a UE by a WiFi AP, transmitting a first message comprising the identity of the UE and an identity of a store where the WiFi AP is located by the WiFi AP to a server. The method further comprises looking up by the server a communication address of the UE and a link to a web application associated with the store, building a second message comprising to link to the web application by the server, and transmitting the second message by the server to the UE via a cellular wireless communication link, whereby the UE is enabled to execute the web application.

摘要: Routing messages between virtual networks using a mapping of virtual addresses from one virtual network to a virtual address of the other virtual network. Each virtual network has a valid set of virtual addresses, some of which being assigned to virtual nodes within the corresponding network. When a virtual network identifies a message to be sent, it identifies a destination for the message. Some destinations may be within the same virtual network and thus may be routed to virtual nodes within the virtual network. Other destinations may instead be mapped to a virtual address of another virtual network. In that case, routing information may also be obtained and the message may be dispatched to the virtual address of the other virtual network. This may be performed without the need for a gateway, which publishes a public address that is globally unique.
