    摘要: In processing a multi-channel audio signal having at least three original channels, a first downmix channel and a second downmix channel are provided, which are derived from the original channels. For a selected original channel, channel side information are calculated such that a downmix channel or a combined downmix channel including the first and the second downmix channels, when weighted using the channel side information, results in an approximation of the selected original channel. The channel side information and the first and second downmix channels form output data to be transmitted to a decoder, which, in case of a low level decoder only decodes the first and second downmix channels or, in case of a high level decoder provides a full multi-channel audio signal based on the downmix channels and the channel side information.

    摘要: An audio signal decoder for providing an upmix signal representation on the basis of a downmix signal representation and an object-related parametric information and in dependence on a rendering information has an object parameter determinator. The object parameter determinator is configured to obtain inter-object-correlation values for a plurality of pairs of audio objects. The object parameter determinator is configured to evaluate a bitstream signaling parameter in order to decide whether to evaluate individual inter-object-correlation bitstream parameter values to obtain inter-object-correlation values for a plurality of pairs of related audio objects, or to obtain inter-object-correlation values for a plurality of pairs of related audio objects using a common inter-object-correlation bitstream parameter value. The audio signal decoder also has a signal processor configured to obtain the upmix signal representation on the basis of the downmix signal representation and using the inter-object-correlation values for a plurality of pairs of related objects and the rendering information.

The process comprises providing a precursor web; providing a pair of mated forming structures, including a first forming structure and a second forming structure, wherein at least the first forming structure comprises voids, and wherein at least the second forming structure comprises protrusions; and moving the web through a deformation zone of the mated forming structures, wherein the voids of the first forming structure engage with the protrusions of the second forming structure at an engagement position. Discrete three-dimensional elements are formed in the web as the protrusions on the second forming structure engage with the voids on the first mating structure. At least one protrusion has center-to-center spacings of less than about 800 microns with at least three of its adjacent protrusions.

    摘要: An efficient encoded representation of a first and a second input audio signal can be derived using correlation information indicating a correlation between the first and the second input audio signals, when a signal characterization information, indicating at least a first or a second, different characteristic of the input audio signal is additionally considered. Phase information indicating a phase relation between the first and the second input audio signals is derived, when the input audio signals have the first characteristic. The phase information and a correlation measure are included into the encoded representation when the input audio signals have the first characteristic, and only the correlation information is included into the encoded representation when the input audio signals have the second characteristic.

    摘要: The purpose of the invention is to bridge the gap between parametric multi-channel audio coding and matrixed-surround multi-channel coding by gradually improving the sound of an up-mix signal while raising the bit-rate consumed by the side-information starting from 0 up to the bit-rates of the parametric methods. More specifically, it provides a method of flexibly choosing an “operating point” somewhere between matrixed-surround (no side-information, limited audio quality) and fully parametric reconstruction (full side-information rate required, good quality). This operating point can be chosen dynamically (i.e. varying over time) and in response to the permissible side-information rate, as it is dictated by the individual application.

With generation of the quantization rule taking into account a psycho acoustic approach, the size of an encoded representation of the multi-channel signal can be decreased by coarser quantization without significantly disturbing the perceptual quality of the multi-channel signal when reconstructed from the encoded representation.

    摘要: A multi-channel synthesizer includes a post processor for determining post processed reconstruction parameters or quantities derived from the reconstruction parameter for an actual time portion of the input signal so that the post processed reconstruction parameter or the post processed quantity is different from the corresponding quantized and inversely quantized reconstruction parameter in that the value of the post processed reconstruction parameter or the derived quantity is not bound by the quantization step size. A multi-channel reconstructor uses the post-processed reconstruction parameter for reconstructing the multi-channel output signal. By post processing reconstruction parameters in connection with multi-channel encoding/decoding allows a low data rate on the one hand and a high quality on the other hand, since strong changes in the reconstructed multi-channel output signal because of a large quantization step size for the reconstruction parameter, which is preferable because of low bit rate requirements, are reduced.

According to another aspect, a center level reduction for forming the downmix for a room processor is performed. According to even another aspect, an inter-similarity decreasing set of head-related transfer functions is formed.
