Abstract:
A protection part comprising at least two layers including an outer layer and an inner layer has its outer layer made of an aluminum alloy that is reinforced with particles of SiC, the SiC particle content in said alloy lying in the range 15% to 40% by weight, while the inner layer is made of an aluminum alloy that is optionally reinforced with SiC particles, the SiC particle content within the layers increasing from the inner layer towards the outer layer. The part is for use in protecting the leading edge of a blade, in particular a blade or vane in a turbomachine, a helicopter blade, or a propeller blade.
Abstract:
A method of automatically and continuously labelling articles such as fruit or vegetables. The method consists in placing said articles in indented trays having parallel rows of indentations, in disposing the trays in single file on a continuously moving conveyor, said rows being disposed perpendicularly to the advance direction of the conveyor, and in moving at least one labelling head over a row of indentations with composite rectilinear translation motion resulting from longitudinal advance motion corresponding to that of the conveyor combined with transverse motion such that a label is placed successively on each article in said row, and then in renewing said operation for each of said rows. The invention also provides apparatus for implementing the method.
Abstract:
An optical signalling device has a partially transparent envelope (2), a substantially U-shaped luminous tube (10) containing a gaseous atmosphere being placed within the envelope and supplied by a capacitor (C) which is charged and discharged by electric circuits placed on a printed circuit card (17).Within an insulating casing (4) having an end-wall (13) and side walls (14, 15), there is placed and maintained a printed circuit card (17) which carries conductive tracks (38, 39) soldered directly to the supply terminals (36, 37) of the gas tube (10). The gas tube is placed in a plane substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the casing and has two portions (32a, 33a) adjacent to the ends of its parallel arms (32, 33) which are securely clamped between two resilient lips (44) forming part of the end-wall (13) through which they pass. The bent region (35) of the tube extends externally of the end-wall and is protected by a transparent cover (5) of the envelope (2).
Abstract:
The antenna includes at least one group of antenna elements (EA1, EA2, . . . , EAp). Microwaves emitted by a central emitter (EH) reach a particular element (EA1 for example) by passing through a controllable phase shifter (VE1), a laser (LE1) which modulates a carrier light signal at a frequency specific to said antenna element with the microwaves, via an optical deflector (FIE) which injects said light signal into an optical waveguide (GE) which is common to all of the antenna elements in the group, via an optical deflector (FPE) which directs said light signal to a detector which is specific to said antenna element (EA1), and which reconstitutes the microwaves, and via a microwave amplifier (AE1) which applies the microwaves to said antenna element. The system is applicable to telecommunications and to radar.
Abstract:
Improved adhesives are provided through the use of styrenic radial block copolymers, containing at least 40 wt % diblock copolymers, the adhesives have improved adhesive properties and a reduced elastic behavior under die-cutting conditions. Compared to conventional linear block copolymers of similar molecular weight, radial copolymers offer higher holding power and lower melt viscosity for the adhesive. They therefore contribute to an improved balance between processability and end-use properties.

Abstract:
The invention relates to an endosurgical extraction bag for collecting body tissue or body fluid, with a bag main part formed from a flexible envelope, and with a first admission opening for introducing tissue or fluid into the bag main part of the bag. Arranged in the bag main part, there is an inner envelope which is connected to the main part (bag) and opens toward the first admission opening, but adjoins the bag main part sealingly in respect of the first admission opening, and which has a second admission opening at its second end remote from the first admission opening and spaced apart from an end of the bag main part remote from the first admission opening, through which second admission opening the tissue or fluid can be introduced into the bag main part.
