摘要： An internal heat exchanger assembly for an air conditioning system, having a substantial cylindrical cavity in which a helical coil tube is coaxially disposed within the cylindrical cavity. A bleed valve assembly is incorporated into the helical coiled tube, in which the bleed valve assembly is adapted to open at a predetermined differential pressure between the high pressure side and low pressure side of the internal heat exchanger. The bleed valve selectively bleeds refrigerant from the high pressure side to the low pressure side, thereby increasing the pressure and mass flow rate of the refrigerant to the suction side of a compressor to reduce or eliminate compressor rattle.

摘要： An air conditioning system including an evaporator having a manifold and a plurality of tubes extending downward in a vertical direction from the manifold. The evaporator defines at least one PCM tank engaging the manifold for storing a phase change material. When operating in a first operating mode, heat is transferred from the phase change material to the refrigerant to freeze and cool the phase change material. When operating in a second operating mode, heat is transferred from the refrigerant to the frozen phase change material to condense the refrigerant. The condensed refrigerant falls downwardly through the tubes and receives heat from a flow of air to cool the air and evaporate the refrigerant. The evaporated refrigerant rises upwardly back to the low pressure of the cold manifold.

摘要： A fluid pump assembly for pumping hydraulic fluid through a controlled brake system includes a housing defining a pumping chamber. The chamber communicates with a hydraulic fluid circuit that operates the controlled brake system. A piston plunger is disposed within the chamber with a shaft affixed to the plunger. An electric coil is affixed to a casing having the shaft inserted therethrough. The coil is coaxially aligned with the shaft. The coil generates a magnetic field through an armature affixed to a distal end of the shaft disposed outside the chamber when receiving electrical current. The magnetic field draws the armature towards the casing for pumping hydraulic fluid from the chamber.

By using multiple transform truncators and multiple inverse transform generators which simultaneously operate, multiple sample data outputs can be obtained which are free of aliasing phenomena.

摘要： An open-ended non-circular sectioned vertical tube is supported in a lower insulated housing providing a heated water reservoir to fill the tube to a predetermined level. A threaded shaft is rotated about its axis in the tube such that upon a refrigeration medium subjecting the outer surface of the tube to a below freezing temperature the water therein is frozen into an ice column starting at the tube inside surface and continuing toward the shaft. The rotating shaft advances the non-circular ice column upwardly whereupon harvesting mechanism is actuated by the column to sever the same into uniform ice pieces for transfer into an ice storage container.

摘要： An improved control circuit is provided for an automatic dishwasher having a reversing relay with valve arrangement which supplies cavitation air to the fluid distribution system to reduce the energy level at which the liquid is sprayed into the wash chamber to achieve a GENTLE wash and rinse cycle for fine china and crystal. The reversing relay solenoid armature operates, in conjunction with a start relay, to provide a primary function of reversing the direction of rotation of the motor between wash and drain periods while providing an auxiliary function of opening its associated valve to admit cavitation air to the recirculation pump during a GENTLE wash and rinse cycle and closing the valve during the REGULAR wash and rinse cycle.

摘要： An apparatus for the roller drive mechanism of a clothes washer which will delay spin tub rotation until a selected quantity of water has been pumped out of the tub. The spin delay apparatus includes a diaphragm movable in response to the water head in the tub. The diaphragm is operably connected to one end of an actuator lever arm which arm extends past its pivot for connection to an idler roller normally located between the drive and driven rollers in the drive mechanism. At the start of the spin cycle the actuator arm pivots the idler roller away from the drive roller until the water head indicates that the water has been pumped out of the tube to a predetermined level to obviate lint in the wash water from being left on the clothes.

摘要： An air conditioning system for use in a hybrid-electric vehicle having an engine and a cabin. The system includes a refrigerant loop and a coolant loop. A phase change heat exchanger including a first tube in fluid communication with the refrigerant loop and a second tube in fluid communication with the coolant loop. The first and second tubes abut one another for conducting heat from the coolant in the coolant loop to the first refrigerant in the refrigerant loop when the vehicle is operating with the engine running. The phase change heat exchanger further includes a chamber abutting the first and second tubes for storing a phase change material. The phase change material conducts heat to the first refrigerant to freeze the phase change material when the vehicle is operating with the engine running and receives heat from the coolant to cool the coolant when the engine is not running.

摘要： A vehicle braking system is provided. In a preferred embodiment the system has an actuator frame with a bore fluidly connected to the wheel brake and to a master cylinder via a solenoid valve. A piston, mounted within the bore, is operationally associated with a non-rotative nut which is threadably engaged by a power screw. To maximize reaction speed, a high efficiency thread is utilized between the power screw and the non-rotative nut. Therefore, pressure within the actuator can back drive the piston. To prevent backdriving of the piston there is a spring locking mechanism.
