Abstract:
A well screen assembly includes an elongate base pipe, a shroud layer about the base pipe, and a mesh layer between the shroud layer and the base pipe. A portion of the mesh layer overlaps another portion of the mesh layer to form an area of overlap. A spine is positioned proximate substantially an entire length of the area of overlap, and transmits a force from the shroud layer to the mesh layer that compresses and seals the area of overlap against passage of particulate.
Abstract:
A hygiene compliance system comprising personnel tags each having a respective status indicator that may be set to a first value indicating hygiene compliance or to a second value indicating hygiene non-compliance. Monitors for target zones, e.g. patients' beds, detect the presence of the personnel tags at the target zone. Monitors for hygiene stations, e.g. washbasins, detect the presence of the tags at the hygiene stations. When the hygiene station monitor detects that a hygiene station has been used, the respective tag is set to the first value. The target zone monitor checks the status of tags detected in its target zone and may issue a warning if the status indicates hygiene non-compliance. When the person leaves the target zone, the target zone monitor changes the respective tag's status to the second value.

Abstract:
A well screen assembly has an elongate base pipe having apertures therein. A filtration layer resides around the base pipe. A drainage assembly resides between the base pipe and the filtration layer. The drainage assembly includes a plurality of elongate risers carried on a mesh. The drainage layer supports the filtration layer apart from the elongate base pipe and defines an elongate passage between the base pipe and the filtration layer that communicates fluid laterally through the drainage assembly.
Abstract:
An apparatus, systems and corresponding methods for a network of outdoor modular signs. Each outdoor sign is composed of various modules which combined make the sign fully contained and operable. Modules include paper-like displays, a wireless port, solar panels, battery packs and a frame. A network of such modular signs is placed within an outdoor area. A wireless station is provided with satellite link for receiving data where said data is presented as scheduled on the electronic paper-like display modules. Solar panel and/or battery pack modules power the displays. The outdoor modular sign is suitable for deployment in parking lots and other outdoor areas where a network of signs can be deployed in close proximity to each other providing engaging advertisement and messages to consumers walking through the defined outdoor areas.
Abstract:
A traffic control device has a base (14) and a sign (16) rotatably carried by the base. The sign has at least two sides, one of which bears a "GO" indication and the other a "STOP" indication. A radio control means (11) causes a motor in the base to position the sign with the "GO" and "STOP" sides alternately in substantially the same angular position relative to the base.
Abstract:
An apparatus dispenses flowable material from a source and includes a dispensing nozzle that reciprocates along an axis. A metering assembly includes a metering cylinder, a metering element reciprocally movable in the interior of the metering cylinder and a switching valve to switch the metering assembly between a metering mode wherein material flows into the metering cylinder and thereby displaces the metering element and a discharge mode. A metering element drive moves the metering element into the metering cylinder during the discharge mode to displace material thereby to dispense material through dispensing nozzle. A lift bracket is mounted for common equidistant movement with the metering element, and the dispensing nozzle is interconnected to the lift bracket for equidistant movement in one direction.
Abstract:
A well screen assembly residing in a well bore has a base pipe and a filtration screen carried on the base pipe. The screen is radially extended with force from fluid while maintaining the base pipe radially unextended.

Abstract:
Human anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) single-chain antibodies (scFvs) were isolated from a human IgM phage display library using purified epidermal growth factor receptor as antigen. Two isolates with different amino acid sequences were identified by ELISA as epidermal growth factor receptor-specific. The scFvs bind to the full length epidermal growth factor receptor and the truncated and/or mutated epidermal growth factor receptor on human cells. These anti-EGFR-scFvs are useful as therapeutic and/or diagnostic agents.
