Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for the treatment or processing of containers that serve for storing, or contain, substances for medical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications, wherein the containers are conveyed automatically, by a conveyor, past at least one processing station or pass it for the treatment or processing. In the process, a plurality of containers is conveyed by the conveyor while being held by a carrier in a regular arrangement. The containers held on the carrier are raised to a raised position for the treatment or processing at or in the respective processing station and are lowered after the treatment or processing, to be held again on the carrier in the regular arrangement. The carrier is configured such that the containers can be held on the carrier during the entire process. A negative pressure acts on the bottoms of the containers in order to lower them.
Abstract:
A system and a method for maintaining, transferring and transporting a flexible package. The system includes a manipulating system, preferably a five axis robot, for transferring and displacing the flexible package and a lift-assist platform positioned within a reach of the manipulating system for transporting the package and for supporting a weight of the flexible package. The system may be used more specifically for the transport and transfer of upright flexible packages. The system simplifies the tool supported by the robot, thus allowing use of a smaller robot.
Abstract:
A device for simultaneously filling at least two foods of different compositions, predominantly in a thick fluid and/or pasty form, into a container, particularly a transparent plastic cup, having a valve head with a nozzle inlet opening and nozzle outlet openings for the food and fed by dosing devices, wherein the controller has a control disc (23) rotatable about a longitudinal axis (22) in the valve head (1) having control openings (25a, 25b, 25c) distributed about said longitudinal axis (22) on a first control circuit path (24), said control openings being alignable during an incremental rotation of the control disc (23) alternating in succession with auxiliary nozzle inlet openings (26a, 26b, 26c) of a stationary control surface (27) of the valve head (1) lying below in a planar manner, wherein auxiliary nozzle inlet openings (26a, 26b, 26c) are arranged on a second control circuit path (24′) congruent with the first control circuit path about the longitudinal axis (22) in the control surface (27) such that helically rising individual portions (28) of the second food (8) from corresponding auxiliary nozzle outlet openings (30) can be positioned on the inner wall of the cup (29) during the filling process. A main nozzle (31) is provided below the control surface (27) in the valve body within the control circuit paths and auxiliary nozzle inlet openings on the longitudinal axis arranged along the same paths; the feed of said nozzle with the food forming the main component is controlled in the known manner by only one rotary disc valve (13) in the supply line (15) coming from the corresponding dosing device (3).
Abstract:
The invention relates to the filling of a frozen dessert product in a container, by performing the steps of: arranging at least one container to be filled on a slat conveyor, moving the container on the slat conveyor towards a dispensing nozzle, vertically displacing at least one slat supporting the container, and horizontally displacing the slat supporting the container in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction of the slat conveyor, while dispensing the product from the dispensing nozzle into the container.
Abstract:
A packing method and system are disclosed which system includes a first platform having a product support surface for supporting a product and a second platform for supporting a box into which the product is to be packed. After a box is received on and secured to the second platform, the second platform is rotated so that the open top of the box faces the first platform and moved toward the first platform until the box substantially surrounds the product on the product support surface. The first and second platforms are then rotated simultaneously so that the product is transferred from the product support to the box, and the full box is discharged to a discharge conveyor.
Abstract:
A seal for the selective sealing of a rod which is reciprocatable within an opening through the wall of an enclosure such as the filling station of a packaging machine, the seal being actuatable to selectively provide a fluid-tight seal between the rod and the wall and release of the seal for free non-sealed movement of the rod within the opening. A method is disclosed.
Abstract:
A liquid metering and filling lifter for use with different kinds of containers (C) having different heights for moving the container (C) upward and downward with a stroke corresponding to the height of the container (C) in filling a liquid into the container, the lifter comprising a container pushing-up vertical lift rod (32) disposed below a filling nozzle (13) above a bed (11) and extending through the bed (11), the lift rod (32) having a container support (31) fixed to an upper end thereof, a container pushing-down vertical lift rod (34) extending through the bed (11) at one side of the lift rod (32) and having a container holder (33) fixed to an upper end thereof, and coupling means (35) disposed below the bed (11) for coupling the two lift rods (32), (34) to make the lift rods movable upward or downward together and uncoupling the lift rods (32), (34) to make the lift rods movable upward or downward individually.
Abstract:
A product such as a monitor is transferred by a transferring unit such as a conveyor, stopped at a working position, elevated to a packing position by an elevating unit, packed with packing material, such as with a vinyl cover, buffering materials and a box at the packing position, moved down to its original down position, and transferred to a subsequent process in the fabricating or process line. In addition, a cylinder is used for elevating the product to permit packing the product. A plurality of supporting bars are fixed to an elevating member installed at an end of a cylinder rod of the cylinder. Only the product, such as a monitor, loaded on a transferring member, such as a pallet, is moved up by the engaging operation of the supporting bars. For slidable insertion of the supporting bars, a plurality of insertion holes corresponding to the supporting bars are formed in the transferring member.
Abstract:
An apparatus dispenses flowable material from a source and includes a dispensing nozzle that reciprocates along an axis. A metering assembly includes a metering cylinder, a metering element reciprocally movable in the interior of the metering cylinder and a switching valve to switch the metering assembly between a metering mode wherein material flows into the metering cylinder and thereby displaces the metering element and a discharge mode. A metering element drive moves the metering element into the metering cylinder during the discharge mode to displace material thereby to dispense material through dispensing nozzle. A lift bracket is mounted for common equidistant movement with the metering element, and the dispensing nozzle is interconnected to the lift bracket for equidistant movement in one direction.
Abstract:
A variable height support structure is provided for use in combination with a solid object dispenser such as a pill or capsule dispenser. The height of the support structure is varied by the use of asymmetrical cam designed to move the support structure surface in discreet units. The apparatus allows a dispenser to fill blister packs with pills or capsules of various shapes and thicknesses without dispenser component reconfiguration or modification or replacement.
