    摘要: A collapsible sign includes a flexible banner supported by a collapsible stand. The collapsible stand, of A-frame configuration, includes two pairs of legs at each end of a cross-member, the apex of each leg pair and cross-member end retained in a unique one-piece connector. Each connector has two leg cups and a cross-member cup attached to a base block by a living hinge. A latch and saddle releasably secure the cross-member cup to the base block in the erected position. A cammed key and keyway releasably lock the leg cups to one another in the erected position. There is a slight interference fit between the cups which assists securing them in the erected position. In breaking down the sign, each leg pivots toward its paired partner upon release of the key from the keyway and the cross-member likewise pivots toward the legs upon release of the latch resulting in all legs and the cross-member being generally parallel to one another in the collapsed position. The flexible banner is wrapped about the cross-member and legs to form a compact bundle for ease in transporting and storage.

    摘要: This headset includes a capsule intended for mounting over either ear of the wearer. The surface of the headset capsule adjacent to the ear is contoured to fit snugly behind either ear. A microphone is mounted on a boom projecting from the front end of the capsule. The boom is tiltable and rotatable so that the position of the microphone may be adjusted relative to the mouth. The rotatability of the boom on the capsule permits adaptation of the headset for wear over either the right or left ear. The boom is curved to keep it out of contact with the face of the wearer. An ear tube extends from the lower end of the capsule at the central plane thereof and is flexible so that it may engage either the right or left ear, depending on the location of the headset. The bottom of the capsule is provided with an ear clip for the purpose of maintaining the position of the capsule and microphone during motion of the head. This ear clip assembly captures the ear lobe and is adjustable to encompass a wide range of ear sizes. The ear clip assembly is removable and reversible so that it may grip the lobe of either the right or left ear of the wearer.

    摘要: This headset includes an earphone and/or a microphone. The headset is mounted on a yoke adapted to fit over a wearer's head with pad means at each end of the yoke for engaging the sides of the wearer's head at areas spaced above the ear. One of the pad means is apertured horizontally to receive a beam which extends in either direction from the pad means, so that that pad means can be placed on the wearer's head with the beam extending forwardly, whether that one pad is on the left or right. A housing is coupled to the forward end of the beam. When the headset includes an earphone, the earphone transducer is in the housing and an ear tube is coupled to the forwardly extending end of the beam and communicates through a hole in the boom with the earphone transducer. The beam is frictionally adjustable longitudinally of an aperture in a casing on the pad means.

    摘要: This headset includes a single earphone and a boom mounted microphone. The headset is mounted on a yoke adapted to fit over a wearer's head with the transducers on either side of the wearer's head. The earphone transducer is in a housing spaced from the wearer's ear and coupled thereto through a flexible tube and an earpiece. A reversible microphone is mounted at the end of a curved conduit whose opposite end is supported on the housing by an electrical connector including an articulated plug assembly which permits rotation and tilting of the conduit with respect to the housing while maintaining electrical connections between the microphone and circuit elements within the housing. The conduit is curved to bring one side or the other of the microphone adjacent to the wearer's mouth when the headset is in place, and the curved conduit is properly positioned by appropriate rotation and tilting of the articulated assembly. The rotation and tilting accommodates shifting of the headset from one side to the other of the wearer's head, while maintaining the microphone in position adjacent one corner of the wearer's mouth.

A plurality MN of spacecraft are organized into a plurality of M sets or layers, each containing N spacecraft. Each spacecraft defines first and second lateral support planes, skewed relative to each other, which intersect at a line of intersection, is parallel to the axis of elongation when the spacecraft are mounted to the support structure. Two or more spacecraft are mounted in end-to-end position in each angular portion. Each spacecraft stiffens the support structure, so that the stiffened support structure, can sustain the launch forces. Spacecraft of upper layers do not bear on lower layers. Controllable attachments hold the first and second lateral support planes of each spacecraft adjacent to the attachment planes defined by the support structure.
