    摘要: An apparatus, system, and method for a central display with private secondary displays. The apparatus includes a central information handling device and a secondary generation module. The central information handling device generates a central image for a central display. The central display is in communication with a plurality of secondary devices communicating with a plurality of secondary displays. Each secondary device communicates with a distinct secondary display. The secondary generation module generates a secondary image for two or more of the secondary displays of the secondary devices. The central display is viewable concurrently by users of each secondary display.

    摘要: A computer system includes a system unit and a peripheral device connected by an electrical connection. The peripheral device includes a main power switch that turns power off within both the peripheral device and the system unit, together with a drive indicator light that is turned on to indicate when data is being written or read at a hard disk drive within the system unit. Preferably, the peripheral device is a display device including a screen and receiving a video signal from the system unit, with a power indicator light indicating whether power is on and whether the system unit is running in an operational state or in a suspended state. The peripheral device can also be used with a system unit not having these capabilities.

    摘要: An approach is provided to direct data to different applications based upon the amount of pressure applied by a user of a pressure sensitive touch-enabled screen. In this approach, a touch input is received at a location of the pressure sensitive touch-enabled screen. The various applications currently being displayed at the location are identified along with the physical pressure level (amount of pressure applied) at the location on the pressure sensitive touch-enabled screen. One of the applications running on the device is selected based on the amount of pressure applied and the touch-based input provided by the user is directed to the selected application.
