Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for washing a polysaccharide-based material which has been subjected to oxidation by at least one oxidizing agent, the said process comprising a first stage of washing with a first densified fluid which is inert with regard to the said oxidizing agent, characterized in that the first stage is followed by a second stage of washing with a washing composition comprising at least one second inert densified fluid and at least one alcohol. The said process according to the invention can additionally comprise a third stage of washing with a third inert densified fluid in order to remove the said alcohol deposited on the said polysaccharide-based material during the said second washing stage. Preferably, the said inert densified fluids are supercritical carbon dioxide.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the controlled oxidation of oligo- and/or polysaccharides containing free —CH2OH primary hydroxyl groups, using an oxidising agent. The invention is characterised in that the oxidation reaction is performed in a densified fluid which is inert in relation to the oxidising agents employed. The invention is suitable for use, for example, in the food, paint, paper, textile, agricultural and pharmaceutical industries, in the medical, biomedical or paramedical fields, in the surgical field, in the cosmetic industry and as agents for the complexing or sequestering of metal ions, heavy metals and radioactive elements in the nuclear industry.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a process for treating bone tissue of animal or human origin, and a corresponding implantable biomaterial. According to the present invention, a fluid in the supercritical state is caused to penetrate throughout the bone tissue. The bone tissue thus treated can then undergo stages of extracting specific proteins. This tissue is intended to be placed on a damaged bone tissue and has mechanical properties at least equivalent to those of natural bone.
