摘要: Arrangement for interconnecting concrete pontoons for small boat harbors, fish raising plants and the like, are subjected to very severe stresses as a result of wave movements and the like. In order to obtain a more safe and reliable interconnecting arrangement at least one side or end of each pontoon (1) has two bumper surfaces (11AF, 12AF) spaced from each other and adapted to face against and cooperate with corresponding two bumper surfaces (11BF, 12BF) on another pontoon (2). Between the respective bumper surfaces on two interconnected pontoons there is mounted a fender (11, 12) which is compressed with a significant degree of prestressing. One pontoon (1) has two symmetric and laterially located attachment members (17, 18) each for .ang. separate tension element (13, 14). The other pontoon (2) has an attachment member (15) centrally between its bumper surfaces (11BF, 12BF) for the common anchoring of both tension elements (13, 14). There is provided for a certain degree of articulate or rotary motion in the anchoring of the tension elements (13, 14) to the attachment members (15, 17, 18). In principle the arrangement may be considered to function as a universal joint.

摘要: The disclosure details implementations of apparatuses, methods, and systems directed to facilitating an entity sponsoring a trust. The sponsoring entity contributes a pool of assets (e.g., a pool of real property mortgages) to fund the trust. The system facilitates the creation of one or more classes of certificates that represent a portion of the assets held in the trust. For example, if the trust is funded by mortgages, the certificates will represent rights to different portions of principal and/or interest payments generated by the mortgages held as the asset pool. The sponsoring entity can use the system to sell all or some of the certificates to unrelated parties and to create a market in the certificates. Further, in an implementation, the sponsoring entity may also use the system to facilitate an ongoing certificate exchange program implementing a series of certificate exchange applications.

摘要: A regenerable filter system includes a flow path along which a stream of fluid flows between an inlet and an outlet. A first filtering unit is located in the flow path. The first filter unit includes first and second regenerable filter beds, wherein each bed has a first adsorbent for removing a first contaminant from the fluid stream. A first valve is located between the inlet and the first and second filter beds for selectively directing the fluid stream through one of the first and the second filter beds. The other of the first and second filter beds is removed from the flow path. A second filtering unit is located in the flow path between the first filtering unit and the outlet. The second filtering unit includes third and fourth regenerable filter beds for removing a second contaminant from the stream of fluid. A second valve is located between the first filtering unit and the third and fourth filter beds for selectively directing the stream of fluid through one of the third and fourth filter beds, wherein the other of the third and fourth filter beds is removed from the flow path. A controller operates the first valve such that the stream of fluid is directed through one of the first and second filter beds. The second valve is so operated that the stream of fluid is directed through one of the third and fourth filter beds. The first and second filter beds are cycled independent of one another.

摘要: A method and system for creating a database for diagnosis determination that includes receiving baseline symptoms in a memory, receiving diagnoses in the memory, classifying the diagnoses that correspond to the baseline symptoms as diagnoses linked to the baseline symptoms, and rendering the diagnoses accessible on the basis of the corresponding baseline symptoms. A method and system for determining a diagnosis and treatment that includes receiving patient symptoms, comparing patient symptoms to previously stored baseline symptoms, identifying the patient symptoms that correspond to the baseline symptoms, and providing diagnoses that correspond to the identified patient symptoms to a user.

摘要: A residual life indicating system for a filter includes a main filter, a sampling filter, and a sensor. Both the main filter and the sampling filter receive an ambient gas meant to be filtered. The sensor connects to the sampling filter and senses the presence of a predetermined chemical in the gas that has been filtered by the sampling filter.
