摘要: A method for forming an integrated composite comprises providing a three-dimensional substrate having at least one channel; coating the substrate with a phenolic resin, wherein coating comprises dispersing the phenolic resin on the substrate, impregnating the phenolic resin in the substrate or a combination of both; curing the substrate and the phenolic resin; heating the cured substrate and cured phenolic resin to a temperature in a range of about 600° C. to about 1100° C. in an inert environment thereby pyrolyzing the phenolic resin, forming a conductive carbon network on, in, or both on and in the substrate; and coating a support material on, in, or both on and in the substrate to form an integrated composite.

摘要: A method of transporting CO2 includes combining gaseous CO2 produced at a point of origin with a solid metal oxide salt and/or a solid metal hydroxide salt at the point of origin to form a solid metal carbonate salt that includes the CO2 from the point of origin and the metal from the metal oxide salt or the metal from the metal hydroxide salt. The method includes transporting the solid metal carbonate salt from the point of origin to a destination. The method also includes calcining the solid metal carbonate salt at the destination to generate gascous CO2 and to re-generate the solid metal oxide salt and/or the solid metal hydroxide salt.

摘要: This invention generally relates to a process and circuit for reintercalating lithium aluminum double hydroxide (LADH) lithium selective adsorbents. The inventive process includes reintercalating the spent LADH adsorbent with lithium salt in a dilute brine under alkaline conditions at a predetermined intercalation temperature, followed by neutralization using an appropriate acid at a predetermined neutralization temperature. The inventive process can be performed to reintercalate the adsorbent and can be performed multiple times over the life of the adsorbent. The reintercalation process can be conducted at a chemical regeneration facility, or alternatively, in situ, such as at an on-site mineral extraction facility, in a mobile reinteractation circuit, or within adsorbent columns of a lithium extraction (e.g., DLE) circuit. In the later arrangement, the invention can be used in fixed beds, stirred tanks, pseudo- or simulated moving bed (SMB) circuits, or other DLE circuits.

摘要: A method for producing lime or dolime, which includes a calcination step for the calcination of calcareous or dolomitic material which is brought into contact with the first fumes which are obtained by combustion of fuel with an oxidizing gas, a cooling of calcined lime or dolime with discharge and collection thereof and a release of a gaseous effluent containing CO2. Subsequent processing steps result in the formation of a CaO-based sorbent material with separation between the CaO-based sorbent material and a CO2-concentrated gas stream which is collected. The recycling of said separated CaO-based sorbent material is recycled into a CO2 depletion step resulting in the extraction of a valorizable fraction of the CaCO3—CaO based charge with a compensatory introduction of fresh CaCO3 in the calcination step.

摘要: An ammonia chemical species desorption process desorbs ammonia chemical species adsorbed onto a Prussian blue derivative more simply at lower cost under milder conditions as compared with using an aqueous solution of a salt or strong acid, and only water. This ammonia chemical species desorption process includes an ammonia chemical desorption step of bringing carbon dioxide and water into contact with a Prussian blue derivative represented by the following general formula (1), thereby desorbing an ammonia chemical species.

The PFAS may be in a stream that is a PFAS enriched stream formed by desorbing the PFAS from an adsorbent which removed the PFAS from a contaminant stream. An effluent from the PFAS conversion reaction is treated in a treatment zone and a treated effluent may be released to the atmosphere.

In particular, the present disclosure relates to a method for regenerating an adsorption medium, comprising receiving a source gas stream comprising at least one hydrocarbon and carbon dioxide; separating the source gas stream into a carbon dioxide-rich gas stream, and a substantially carbon dioxide-free gas stream; directing the carbon dioxide-rich gas stream into a regeneration vessel containing an adsorption medium having one or more adsorbed impurities on the adsorption medium; desorbing impurities from the adsorption medium by contacting the adsorption medium with the carbon dioxide-rich gas stream to generate a carbon dioxide-rich gas containing desorbed impurities and a regenerated adsorption medium; and directing the carbon dioxide-rich gas stream containing desorbed impurities out of the regeneration vessel.

摘要: A method of treating a metal carbonate salt includes hydrolyzing a metal halide salt to form a hydrohalic acid and a hydroxide salt of the metal in the metal halide salt. The metal includes an alkaline earth metal or an alkali metal. The method includes reacting the hydrohalic acid with the metal carbonate salt, wherein the metal carbonate salt is a carbonate salt of the alkaline earth metal or alkali metal, to form CO2 and the metal halide salt. At least some of the metal halide salt formed from the reacting of the hydrohalic acid with the metal carbonate salt is recycled as at least some of the metal halide salt in the hydrolyzing of the metal halide salt to form the hydrohalic acid and the hydroxide salt.
