Abstract:
An electrosurgical instrument for treating tissue includes a housing having at least one tissue treating member attached thereto. The tissue treating member includes an electrically conductive tissue contacting surface connected to a source of electrosurgical energy such that the tissue contacting surface is capable of conducting electrosurgical energy to tissue. An energy conductive, ablative material is disposed on the electrically conductive tissue contacting surface and is configured to at least partially deplete during electrosurgical activation to reduce tissue adhesion.
Abstract:
An electrosurgical apparatus for performing a surgical procedure includes a housing having an elongated flexible shaft with proximal and distal ends. The shaft having a plurality of tubes disposed therein that define a corresponding plurality of working channels configured to house a corresponding plurality of surgical instruments. An actuator is dimensioned for selective reciprocation within the shaft and configured to operably engage one or more of the corresponding plurality of surgical instruments and deploy the corresponding surgical instrument to an operating cavity as needed during a surgical procedure.
Abstract:
An electrosurgical system includes an electrosurgical generator, an electrosurgical instrument, an optical clarity sensor and a control component. The electrosurgical generator generates electrosurgical energy for use during electrosurgery. The electrosurgical instrument is coupled to the electrosurgical generator and treats tissue. The optical clarity sensor is coupled to the electrosurgical generator and is adapted to measure tissue with at least two optical frequencies. The control component is operatively coupled to the optical clarity sensor and receives sensor data therefrom. The control component communicates control instructions to the electrosurgical generator to control the generation of the electrosurgical energy.
Abstract:
A desk chairmat includes a semi-rigid substantially planar member having four side edges, an upper side of the chairmat having a substantially smooth surface and at least one hang tab attached to the chairmat along one or more of the side edges. The chairmat may also have integral handles and an integral hinge to facilitate folding of the mat.
Abstract:
A system for excision of abnormal tissue includes a sealant material having an uncured configuration which allows the sealant material to be readily injected between target tissue and underlying tissue and a cured configuration wherein the sealant material acts as a substantially solid barrier between the target tissue and underlying tissue. The sealant material acts to initially separate or lift the target tissue relative to the underlying tissue to facilitate excision of the target tissue via a snare, wire loop, forceps, knife, scissors and/or combinations thereof. After excision of the target tissue, the sealant acts to seal the underlying tissue from the surrounding environment.
Abstract:
A retail display system for a desk chairmat includes a display stand having at least one support component thereon. A desk chairmat having a longitudinal fold line, is folded in half about the fold line and a wrap extends about the chairmat in the folded condition. The chairmat is suspended from the support component. In another embodiment, the retail display system comprises a display stand including a pair of vertical standards and one or more horizontal reinforcing rods; at least two laterally spaced support components mounted on the display stand; a desk chairmat having four side edges, with a pair or hang tabs laterally spaced along one of the side edges; wherein the desk chairmat is suspended from the support components by the hang tabs.
Abstract:
A desk chairmat adapted for use over a carpet and for supporting a desk chair, the chairmat comprising a semi-rigid substantially planar member, said member having four side edges with a lip portion adapted to extend into a well area under the desk; an upper side of the chairmat having a substantially smooth surface; a pair of hang tabs formed integrally with said substantially planar member and projecting away from one of said four side edges, each said hang tab having a relatively small aperture formed therein and adapted to receive a display support member; said upper side of said planar member having at least one elongated groove formed therein and extending substantially between two of said four side edges; and a laminate strip pressed into a lower side of said planar member in alignment with said at least one elongated groove to thereby form a fold hinge in said planar member.
Abstract:
A desk chairmat includes a semi-rigid and substantially planar member of solid plastic material, the chairmat having four side edges with a lip portion extending from one of the side edges, an upper side of the chairmat having a substantially smooth upper surface. At least a first handle attached to or formed integrally with the chairmat along one of the side edges of the chairmat.
