摘要: An oversheath is the oversheath into which a flexible sheath of a treatment tool body is inserted and that is inserted into a forceps channel in cooperation with the treatment tool body. The oversheath includes a first tubular part including an outer peripheral side sliding part that slides on a forceps port as an introduction port into the forceps channel, and a second tubular part provided at a base end part of the first tubular part and including an inner peripheral side sliding part that allows the endoscopic treatment tool body to move forward and backward with respect to the forceps channel.

摘要: A kit for delivering microwave ablative energy to tissue and methods for using the kit are included. The kit includes an access catheter, an implant deployment tool, and a microwave delivery device. The implant deployment tool is configured to be inserted into the access catheter and has an implant disposed therein in a contracted state and being slidable out of a distal opening and expandable into an expanded state. The microwave delivery device is configured to deliver the microwave ablative energy to the tissue and to be advanced through the access catheter and slidably disposable within the implant when the implant is in the expanded state.

摘要: Components with relatively high loading of active pharmaceutical ingredients (e.g., drugs), are generally provided. In some embodiments, the component (e.g., a tissue interfacing component) comprises a solid therapeutic agent (e.g., a solid API) and a supporting material (e.g., a binder such as a polymer) such that the solid therapeutic agent is present in the component in an amount of greater than or equal to 10 wt % versus the total weight of the tissue interfacing component. Such tissue-interfacing components may be useful for delivery of API doses e.g., to a subject. Advantageously, in some embodiments, the reduction of volume required to deliver the required API dose as compared to a liquid formulation permits the creation of solid needle delivery systems for a wide variety of drugs in a variety of places/tissues (e.g., tongue, GI mucosal tissue, skin) and/or reduces and/or eliminates the application of an external force in order to inject a drug solution through the small opening in the needle. In some cases, a physiologically relevant dose may be present in a single tissue interfacing component (e.g., having a relatively high API loading).

The instrument may have a rigid guide tube with a pre-formed shape and at least one change in direction between a proximal end and a distal end of the guide tube. The guide tube may include a first channel extending between the proximal end and the distal end and a second channel extending alongside the first channel. The first channel may include a first opening extending along a side of the guide tube so that the first channel is at least partially exposed. The guide tube may further include an optical device integrally formed with the body. A cross-section of a proximal portion of the guide tube may be greater than a cross-section of a distal portion of the guide tube.

摘要: A forceps tool is usable with an endoscope or bronchoscope having an insertion tube defining a working channel. Components of the forceps tool include a flexible guide passable through, selectively extendable from, the working channel of the endoscope. A carrier extends outward from the flexible guide, such that the carrier extends further away from the endoscope. A first cup portion is configured to selectively catch and obtain tissue specimens and is pivotally attached to the carrier at a point distal to the flexible guide. The first cup portion is moveable or pivotable between a closed position and an open position. The open position is further away from the carrier than the closed position, as the first cup portion pivots about the distal point. The forceps tool may include a second cup portion. A method of using the forceps tool is also provided.
