    摘要: A laminated vehicle glazing comprising a first ply of a glazing material and a second ply of a glazing material having a substantially co-extensive ply of an interlayer material laminated there between, at least a portion of the ply of interlayer material having a wedged cross-section, wherein the ply of interlayer material is pre-shaped by stretching such that either: (a) when the wedge angle is calculated at a plurality of points across the glazing, by taking measurements of a deflection of a laser beam as it passes through the glazing, the standard deviation in the magnitude of the wedge angle of the wedged portion is less than 0.05 mrad; or (b) when a grid pattern is projected onto the glazing, the standard deviation in the displacement between observed primary and secondary images of portions of the grid is less than 0.85 mm.

    摘要: A docking station provides supporting functions for portable electronic devices, such as music players, satellite radio receivers, and video game players. The supporting functions may include providing power, an audio amplifier, speakers, and a video or audio display. The docking station includes a base portion and a connector slidably engaged with the base portion for centering the portable electronic device with respect to the base portion. The base portion includes circuitry for processing signals from the portable electronic device. The connector can be attached to a circuit board that is slidably disposed between the base portion and an attachment portion removably connected to the base portion. The docking station can recognize the type of device connected and configure itself to accommodate the requirements of the portable electronic device. The docking station can include a display portion perpendicular to the base portion.

The supporting functions may include providing power, audio amplifier, speakers, and video screen. To couple to a variety of portable devices, the docking station uses various adaptive cradles. In a typical configuration, a portable device is plugged into a cradle, which in turn is plugged into the docking station. The docking station recognizes the type of portable device plugged into the station, and adjust the power supply voltage to power the device through a connector. The docking station may further configure itself to accommodate the requirements of the portable device. Such configuring may include varying input impedance of the docking station's internal audio amplifier to match the portable device. In this way, the station can be used with a variety of portable devices, including devices from different manufacturers.

    摘要: P-type and n-type regions are defined in the first surface of a substrate upon which is formed an epitaxial layer of preferably Si—Ge material, preferably capped by Si material. During epitaxy formation, dopant in the defined regions diffuses down to form p-type and n-type junctions in the Si material, and diffuses up to form p-type and n-type junctions in the Si—Ge epitaxial material. Si junctions are buried beneath the surface and are surface recombination velocity effects are reduced. Photon energy striking the second substrate surface generates electron-hole pairs that experience the high bandgap of the Si materials and the low bandgap of the Si—Ge epitaxy. The tandem structure absorbs photon energy from about 0.6 eV to about 3.5 eV and exhibits high conversion efficiency.

    摘要: A device for providing a high power, low resistance, efficient vertical DMOS device is disclosed. The device comprises providing a semiconductor substrate with a source body structure thereon. The device further comprises a plurality of slots in the source/body structure and providing a metal within the plurality of slots to form a plurality of structures. A slotted PowerFET array is disclosed. This slotted approach results in a dense PowerFET, a low Ron due to the slotted design, an oxide isolated process without any due extra steps other than the slots, lower capacitance, lower leakage, smaller die, improved heat transfer, improved electro-migration, lower ground resistance, less cross talk, drops the isolation diffusion and the sinker diffusion, mostly low temperature processing and provides double metal with single metal processing. Also disclosed is a method for integrating this vertical DMOS with CMOS, bipolar and BCD to provide an optimized small, efficient die using the buried power buss approach and these technologies.
