摘要: Batch annealed, semi-processed and fully processed motor lamination steels are made by processes which subject a slab having a particular ultra low carbon composition (less than 0.01%) to steps which include hot rolling a slab into a strip and coiling the strip. This is followed by the sequential steps of preferably annealing the strip in coil form, cold rolling the strip and batch annealing the strip in coil form. The strip is flattened by a temper rolling or leveling process. The flattening step reduces the thickness of the strip by an amount ranging from greater than 0% to not greater than 1.0% to provide the strip with a permeability when stress relief annealed of at least 2500 Gauss/Oersted.

摘要: Systems and methods for protecting digital content using digital watermarks and for distributing that protected digital content are described. The digital watermark contains watermark information, fingerprint information, and any other information desired by the provider of the digital content. To insert the digital watermark in the digital content, a section of the digital content is selected, whether it is a random section or a desired section (such as the first or last section), and then that section is broken into a given number of individual slides. The digital watermark is created as an additional slide or frame and then placed between the slides of that section. These individual slides, which now contain the watermark, are re-combined and then re-attached to the remainder of the digital content when desired, such as on the fly or at the time of the user's purchase of the digital content. The user (or other viewer) receives only a single packet of information for the digital content, rather than numerous packets of information, preventing compression and decompression processes from avoiding the watermark since any such compression would not only diminish the slide with the watermark on it, but also the content and render the digital content unusable. Other embodiments are described.

摘要: Multi-alloy composite sheets and methods of producing the composite sheets for use in automotive applications are disclosed. The automotive application may include an automotive panel having a bi-layer or a tri-layer composite sheet with 3xxx and 6xxx aluminum alloys. The composite sheets may be produced by roll bonding or multi-alloy casting, among other techniques. Each of the composite sheets may demonstrate good flat hem rating and mechanical properties, long shelf life, and high dent resistance, among other properties.

摘要: A multi-layer metallurgical product comprising a core aluminum alloy, purposefully tailored through chemistry and processing route to resist recrystallization during the brazing cycle to intentionally exploit the higher strengths immediately after brazing of a deformed and recovered microstructure, the core aluminum alloy being positioned on one side to an aluminum alloy interliner designed to be resistant to localized erosion, which, in turn, is adjacent to a 4xxx cladding alloy. The multi-layer product can be fabricated at least in part via any multi-alloy ingot casting processes such as the Simultaneous Multi-Alloy Casting process or the Unidirectional Solidification of Castings process.

摘要: The temperature of a substrate to be vacuum vapor coated is measured immediately before its is passed over a source of coating metal vapor and immediately after the vapor has condensed on it. Costing conditions are controlled to maintain the difference between those temperatures at a value which is related to the thickness of the condensed coating by a heat balance equation.
