摘要： Antigenic and/or immunogenic material derived from Mycobacterium vaccae is used to down-regulate Th2 activity of the immune system without up-regulation of Th1 activity. Disorders such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Gulf War Syndrome and Total Allergy Syndrome are treated. The material preferably comprises dead M. vaccae cells in a composition which does not include a non-M. vaccae antigen, immunogen or allergen.

摘要： Urea-isocyanurate copolymers are obtained by the reaction of:(a) an organic polyisocyanate compound,(b) a polyamino compound having at least two amino groups connected by a flexible chain, and(c) optionally an amino chain extender in which the amino groups are substantially less reactive towards the polyisocyanate (a) than are the amino groups of compound (b), the reaction being effected in the presence of(d) a trimerisation catalyst effective to convert a polyisocyanate to a polyisocyanurate in the reaction the ratio of the number of equivalents of isocyanate groups to the total number of moles of amino groups is at least 8.7, and the ratio of the number of equivalents of chain extender (c)--if used--to the number of equivalents of polyamino compound (b) is a maximum of 5:1.The copolymers are especially useful for producing articles by Structural Reaction Injection Moulding.

The modified product preferably has at least one organic group attached to the carbon product and the organic group is preferably substituted with an ionic, ionizable, or polar group for preparation in polar or aqueous based media. Methods of making the polymer coated modified carbon product are also described, such as by aqueous-based or solvent free polymerization methods, organic solvent based polymerization methods, or solution coating methods. Polymeric products and masterbatches containing the polymer coated modified carbon products are also described as well as methods to improve properties such as impact properties and tensile properties.
