摘要： An inserter system having an improved control system. The system includes a sheet inserter system and one or more web modules, for, receiving a web of forms, scanning the forms for information, storing and retransmitting the information, separating the web into discrete forms, and feeding the forms for further processing by the sheet inserter system. The sheet inserter system adds additional sheets to the forms inserts the batches so formed into envelopes and may imprint the envelopes with metered postage. The control system includes a supervisory controller which receives the control information and controls the sheet inserter system and web modules in accordance therewith. A buffer is provided to transfer control information from the supervisory controller to the sheet inserter system. The buffer receives control signals from the supervisory controller synchronously with the transfer of batches of documents from the web modules to the sheet inserter system but does not transmit the control signals to the sheet inserter system unless the transfer is successfully completed.

摘要： Metal values are recovered from ore concentrates by forming a sulfide matte, grinding the matte, leaching with sulfuric acid at elevated temperature to selectively extract nickel and iron, and leaching the residue with an acidic aqueous ferric or cupric salt to selectively extract copper. The residue contains a high concentration of platinum, palladium and gold.

摘要： A method and associate apparatus for providing a universal feeder interface circuit for a multi-station document inserter having a plurality of document feeder stations or modules and a central processor which stores a supervisory program is provided. Each interface circuit has a unique address and a distributed processor which stores feeder programs containing instructions for operating a variety of different types of feeders. The interface circuit, in response to address and command signals received from the central processor provides operating instructions from the programs stored in the distributed processor to its feeder station to operate the feeders in a manner pre-selected by the user.

摘要： Metal values are recovered from ore concentrates by means of dry grinding, followed by a two-stage leaching process in which the ground concentrate is first leached with sulfuric acid at a temperature of about 90.degree. to 100.degree. C. to selectively leach nickel and iron. The residue is then leached with a solution comprising sulfuric acid and NaOCl or H.sub.2 O.sub.2 to extract platinum, palladium, copper and gold.

摘要： Lanolin is employed as a modifier for froth flotation utilizing conventional collectors such as fatty acids, kerosene, and the like. Lanolin added to the system acts as a depressant which assists in the selectivity of the process for the desired mineral or inhibits the flotation of gangue materials. Scheelite ore flotation is substantially improved using lanolin in addition to a conventional collector such as tall oil.
