An apparatus for gripping and weight-dependent clamping of workpieces, bar guides and the like that are to be held or moved relative to a location, particularly in connection with a hand-guided handling device that has a control switch. The apparatus includes a carrying frame to which are linked upper hinge-bolt pairs for respective superimposed pairs of parallel rods, which are detachably attached by pairs of lower hinge-bolts to a connection piece for gripping elements. A pair of struts, each of which is linked to one lower hinge-bolt, is jointly attached in articulated fashion to a control bolt centrally adjustable between the rods in a guide slot on the carrying frame.

A cable guide of a cable winch, such as a cable hoisting winch, includes a cable drum having at least one cable groove and a cable guide having at least two base segments expanding into a ring. The two base segments are guided in the cable groove by at least one engaging element and are supported against the cable winch by at least one torque support. Elements for guiding and holding down a cable are arranged on the base segments. To create a simplified and optionally modular design of a cable guide, the base segments may be configured such that at least one torque support and at least one add-on element for guiding and holding down a cable can be secured in a desired arrangement on the base segments.

An electric drive with brakes, in particular for hoists, lifting devices or positioning transporting systems, having a brake disk which is movable axially on a motor shaft so as to rotate therewith via a toothing. The brake disk has brake faces at both sides and can be pressed against a stationary counter-brake disk by a spring force. An electromagnetic device is provided which, when connected to current, causes the brake to be released against the spring force. The electromagnetic device has a.c. magnets and E-shaped magnet coil yokes. The counter-pole faces associated with the coil yokes are arranged at magnet yokes which can move angularly on all sides so that the counter-pole faces can be aligned at the end faces of the E-shaped magnet coil yokes located opposite thereto when current is applied to the a.c. magnet.
