摘要: A recessed screw having in its head a recess for engaging with a driver bit, with the recess being defined with curved engaging walls and radial or corner grooves. Each engaging wall is a portion of a conical surface slanted inwardly towards a bottom of the recess. Each corner groove extends outwards from the adjacent engaging walls in radial direction. A pair of vertical side walls, lying parallel with the recessed screw's axis define each corner groove. The driver bit has protrusions tightly fittable in the recess, which recess may be a superimposition of two square holes disposed symmetrically with a phase shift of 45.degree. around the axis so as to provide eight corner grooves. Each engaging wall may be formed at a place where the side walls intersect one another. The driver bit may comprise a shank and a bit portion which extends from the shank and formed with eight V-shaped grooves extending axially of the bit so that eight blades are defined each between the two V-shaped grooves. A bottom of each V-shaped groove or a top of each blade may be a curved wall to closely contact with the engaging walls in the recess.

摘要: A breakable composite drill screw comprises a first shank made of a metal unsusceptible of hardening, a driving head extending from one end of the first shank and engageable with a screw driving tool, a second shank made of another metal susceptible of hardening, the second shank being fixedly adjoined to the other end of the first shank to thereby provide a break zone at said other end, a drill bit formed by cold forging at an end of the second shank, a continuous thread formed by thread-rolling to extend around both outer cylindrical peripheries of the first and second shank wherein a portion extending from the break zone to the drill bit is hardened or quenched, and wherein said shanks are adjoined at their engaging surfaces to each other by projection-welding technique making use of a welding lug protruding from either engaging surface, said lug forming the break zone.

摘要: A conveyor arrangement for carrying a continuous row of component parts from a container or supply to an automatic assembling machine. A feeder chute is provided for feeding the component parts to a guide or feeder track which is operatively connected with a supply chute or hose connected to the assembling machine. A device is provided for maintaining the component parts in the guide or feeder track and an advancing mechanism is provided for advancing the component parts from an end of the guide track to an entrance of the supply chute or hose. Pawls are provided at the advancing mechanism and the supply chute for facilitating the advancement of the component parts and preventing return of advanced component parts from the supply chute or hose to the guide track.

摘要: The main body (2) of a self-drilling screw has a driven head (9) having at its top central region a weld lug (10) of a prescribed size. The screw also has a discrete drive head (3) having in its top a hole (11) for engagement with a driving tool. A thinned stud (12) continuing from the drive head (3) is resistance welded to the top center of driven head (9), using the weld lug (10) to form between these heads a torque-limiting junction (13) ready to break at a prescribed torque. As the main body (2) of the screw for use with thin steel sheets is tightened, the drive head (3) will be removed due to breakage of the junction (13). Any excessive tightening torque imparted to the screw will not break a female-threaded hole formed in the steel sheet, but firmly retaining the screw on it.

摘要: A screw-holding belt (20) has a belt body (2) made from a plastics and having cutouts (8) that are formed at a pitch ‘P’ in and along side edges of the belt body so as to intermittently drive it. Passage holes (5) are formed at the same pitch as the cutouts in order to eject the screws (15), and have a diameter larger than their heads or washers. Screw-holding cylinders (3) are formed each in and coaxial with the central region passage hole (5), so that each screw's threaded leg is inserted into and held in the cylinder. Four stays (21) continue from the rim of upper opening (4) of each cylinder and extend outwards to the inner periphery of passage hole (5) in radial directions each intersecting the center line of belt body (2), so that the belt body can smoothly advance to eject the screws, without suffering from any trouble even if their heads or washers are of a large diameter.
