    Abstract: To provide a clamping mechanism, and an apparatus and a method for manufacturing joined object, all of which allow, with a simple configuration, clamping of clamp objects having sizes different from each other, stably at their positions. A clamping mechanism 10 includes a plurality of clamp claws 11 configured to clamp an object S to be clamped; a plurality of support shafts 16 configured to pivotally support a corresponding clamp claw 11, wherein the corresponding clamp claw 11 pivots around the support shaft 16 for opening or closing movement; and a mover apparatus 12 configured to cause the clamp claw 11 to perform the opening or closing movement. A joined object manufacturing apparatus includes the clamping mechanism 10, a holder configured to hold an object to be joined, and a joining apparatus configured to join the object S clamped by the clamping mechanism 10 and the object to be joined that is held by the holder. A method for manufacturing a joined object includes causing the clamping mechanism 10 to clamp the object S by use of the joined object manufacturing apparatus, causing the holder to hold the object to be joined, and joining the both.

    Abstract: A overlapped body 10 comprising steel plates 1a and 1b and satisfying (TS1×t1+TS2×t2)/(t1+t2)≥440 is energized while being sandwiched and pressed by a pair of electrodes 2a and 2b to form a molten pool 4b at a steel plate interface 4 and thereby to join the steel plates 1a and 1b. TS1 represents the tensile strength (MPa) of the steel plate 1a, t1 represents the thickness (mm) of the steel plate 1a, TS2 represents the tensile strength (MPa) of the steel plate 1b, and t2 represents the thickness (mm) of the steel plate 1b. An energization point 4a is formed at the steel plate interface 4, and spot welding is performed such that the molten pool 4b is formed at a position at a horizontal distance W of 20 mm or less from the energization point 4a.

    Abstract: In a refrigerant circuit component or valve device, the present invention projection-welds a connector to a cap member and prevents intrusion of spatter into a refrigerant circuit. A-cylinder section in which an inside hole of the connector is open is inserted in an inside hole formed in the center of the cap member. The area between the A-cylinder section and a projection of the connector is used as a spatter generation space. The projection of the connector abuts against the cap member and is projection-welded to form a welded part. The open end of the inside hole of the A-cylinder section is crimped to pressure-join the open end to the open end of the inside hole of the cap member. Spatter is sealed inside the spatter generation space. A portion of the surface layer to which the generated spatter adheres may be removed by machining to provide a spatter-removed structure.
