摘要: Disclosed is a cell with a power-generating element and an outer package. The power-generating element includes a unit cell layer including a first electrode, a second electrode and an electrolyte layer disposed between the first and second electrodes. In the first electrode, a first collector is provided with one of a positive electrode active material layer and a negative electrode active material layer. In the second electrode, a second collector is provided with the other one of the positive and negative electrode active material layers. The first and second collectors have thicknesses such that when a conductor from outside penetrates at least two cells and a short circuit is formed between two cells via the conductor, shorted portions of the first and second collectors are fused by the heat generated by the current before the temperature of the cells reaches a predetermined value so that the short circuit is blocked.

摘要: Provided is a bipolar battery current collector that includes a conductive resin layer formed in such a manner as to, when at least part of the conductive resin layer reaches a predetermined temperature, interrupts a flow of electric current through the at least part of the conductive resin layer in a vertical direction thereof. Also provided is a bipolar battery using the current collector. It is possible by the use of the current collector to suppress local heat generation in the bipolar battery and improve the durability of the bipolar battery.

摘要: A separator (1) having heat resistant insulation layers for an electric device includes a resin porous substrate (2), and heat resistant insulation layers (3) formed on both surfaces of the resin porous substrate (2) and containing heat resistant particles having a melting point or a thermal softening point of 150° C. or higher. 摘要: An electrode structure includes a substrate, an electrode active material layer formed on the substrate and divided into a plurality of portions on a side of a surface thereof, and a high resistance member having an electric resistance higher than that of an electrolyte. The high resistance member is formed on at least a part of a parting portion formed between the divided portions of the electrode active material layer. A method for producing an electrode structure, and a bipolar battery using the electrode structure are also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed is a cell with a power-generating element and an outer package. 摘要: A battery main body housed in a case comprises one laminated body composed of a plurality of bipolar electrodes laminated with an electrolyte layer therebetween or comprises a plurality of laminated bodies connected in series. A positive electrode current collecting plate and a negative electrode current collecting plate each having one surface joined to the inner peripheral surface of the case and the other surface joined to one end of the battery main body respectively extend to the outside of the case. By providing a cutoff mechanism for cutting off an electrical connection between the positive electrode current collecting plate and the negative electrode current collecting plate via the battery main body according to an expansion deformation of the case, a current path in a bipolar secondary battery is interrupted when the short-circuit current occurs, thereby protecting the bipolar secondary battery from a short-circuit current.

By providing a cutoff mechanism for cutting off an electrical connection between the positive electrode current collecting plate and the negative electrode current collecting plate via the battery main body according to an expansion deformation of the case, a current path in a bipolar secondary battery is interrupted when the short-circuit current occurs, thereby protecting the bipolar secondary battery from a short-circuit current.
