摘要: The present invention provides a system and method of using highly structured net boot testing through an automated process that produces a highly efficient assurance that each image of a new version of an operating system can operate on any designated platform with any combinations of designated non-platform-specific feature sets. The program images being boot tested have previously undergone functional program testing, regression testing, final test and fix procedures and commit procedures at the levels of the business unit, at an intermediate pre-integration branch level and finally at a primary technology branch of the current IOS source code system before final network boot testing is performed as an antecedent to a regular release of a new version of the IOS.

摘要: A fuel system priming method for an internal combustion engine having a returnless fuel system and electronic fuel injection includes sensing fuel pressure rate of rise during priming. The fuel pump is first activated to pressurize the system and then the injectors are controlled for a short interval in response to the sensed rate of pressure rise to vent trapped air in the fuel system. The fuel pump is then activated again to pressurize the fully primed fuel system for quick engine starting.

摘要: Disclosed is a system for accessing a folder of messages in a mail server, such as an inbox folder, outbox folder, draft message folder, etc. This disclosed system is especially suited for "offline" type protocols, such as POP3. A client computer establishes a first connection with a mail server including the folder of messages over a network. The client computer communicates a command to the mail server to parse messages in the folder to obtain message headers. The message headers are then downloaded to the client computer. After downloading the message headers, the first connection between the client computer and the mail server is terminated. The client computer may then be used to select at least one displayed header. After message headers are selected, a second connection is established between the client computer and the mail server. The client computer communicates a command to the mail server to retrieve a body for each message whose header was selected. The selected message bodies are then downloaded to the client computer. After downloading message bodies, the client computer communicates a command to the mail server to delete the selected messages from the folder in the mail server. The client computer then communicates a command to the mail server to terminate the second connection between the client computer and the mail server.

摘要: The present invention discloses a system for providing communication between applets. A browser, such as an HTML web browser, is executed within a computer and a server program including a protocol, such as the HTTP protocol, is executed in the browser. A first page is executed within the browser and a first applet, such as a Java applet, is executed within the first page. A second page is executed within the browser and a second applet is executed within the second page. The second applet transmits data to the server program using the protocol. The first applet executing in the first page processes the data transmitted from the second applet to the server program. The first applet may be used to establish a connection with a remote server over a network using a second protocol, such as POP3, IMAP4, LDAP, SMTP, and transmit the data received from the second applet to the remote server via the network using the second protocol.
