    摘要： A plasma display panel having a uniformly distributed firing voltage despite of irregular discharge gaps, the plasma display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, barrier ribs between the first and second substrates to define discharge cells, address electrodes corresponding to the discharge cells and extending in a first direction, first and second electrodes respectively extending in a second direction crossing the first direction and formed on any one of the first and second substrates, corresponding to the discharge cells, and a dielectric layer covering the first and second electrodes, where the first and second electrodes are spaced apart from each other to form a discharge gap having distances, the dielectric layer having varied permittivities according to distances of the discharge gaps to improve discharge uniformity according to the distances of the discharge gaps.

    摘要： A plasma display panel comprising first and second substrates positioned substantially parallel to each other, facing each other and separated from each other by a predetermined distance is disclosed. A plurality of address electrodes are formed on the first substrate. A first dielectric layer covers the plurality of address electrodes on the first substrate. A plurality of barrier ribs having predetermined heights are mounted on the first dielectric layer, creating discharge spaces between the first and second substrates. Phosphor layers are formed within the discharge spaces. A plurality of discharge sustain electrodes are formed on the surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate and are positioned perpendicular to the address electrodes on the first substrate. A second dielectric layer is formed on the second substrate covering the discharge sustain electrodes. A protection layer comprising MgO and Ca, Al, Fe and Si dopants covers the second dielectric layer.

    摘要： Provided is a plasma display panel including: a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other; an upper dielectric layer formed on the inner surface of the first substrate; and a first ceramic layer which has about the same thermal expansion coefficient as the upper dielectric layer, faces the upper dielectric layer, and is formed on the outer surface of the first substrate. Alternatively, the plasma display panel includes: a first lower dielectric layer formed on the second substrate and having a thermal expansion coefficient greater than that of the second substrate by α; and a second lower dielectric layer formed on the first lower dielectric layer and having a thermal expansion coefficient less than that of the second substrate by α.

    摘要： A plasma display panel (PDP) is provided. The PDP includes first and second substrates positioned generally parallel to each other and separated from each other by a space. A plurality of address electrodes are disposed on the first substrate and a first dielectric layer covers the address electrodes. A plurality of barrier ribs extend from the first dielectric layer and partition the space between the first and second substrates into discharge spaces. A phosphor layer is disposed in the discharge spaces. A plurality of display electrodes are disposed on the second substrate generally perpendicular to the address electrodes. A second dielectric layer is disposed over the display electrodes and a protective layer covers the second dielectric layer. The protective layer includes MgO and Zr and may further include Sn.

In one embodiment, the PDP includes i) first and second substrates spaced apart from each other, wherein an image is configured to be displayed via the second substrate, ii) a plurality of discharge cells formed between the first and second substrates and iii) a protective layer formed between the plurality of discharge cells and the second substrate. In one embodiment, the protective layer is formed form MgO and dopant, wherein the concentration of the dopant gradually increases in the thickness direction.
