摘要： A development device includes a developer bearer to carry the developer to a development range, a magnetic field generator disposed inside the developer bearer for generating magnetic force, a developer regulator for adjusting an amount of the developer, a developer supply compartment disposed adjacent to the developer bearer, separated by a side wall from a portion where the developer bearer is provided, a developer agitator provided in the supply compartment, and a blocker disposed above the side wall of the supply compartment across a supply gap through which the developer moves from the supply compartment. The magnetic field generator has an attraction magnetic pole and a regulation magnetic pole. The blocker prevents the developer blocked by the developer regulator from moving along a magnetic force line of the regulation magnetic force toward the circumferential surface of the developer bearer.

The lens unit may image the reflected light on the image pick-up device. The holding member may hold the image pick-up device and lenses. The direction of a fluctuation of a focal length of the lens unit caused by heat and a direction of the fluctuation of a distance between the image pick-up device and the lens unit caused by heat may agree with each other.

摘要： An image forming apparatus in which a transfer device is provided in a position separated from an image carrier. A transfer sheet is conveyed along and contacting a part of a circumferential surface of the image carrier facing the transfer device when transferring a toner image from the image carrier to the transfer sheet. A conveying guide is included to guide and covey the transfer sheet separated from the image carrier to a fixing unit. The conveying guide includes a guiding member to direct the conveying direction of the transfer sheet upward when the leading edge of the transfer sheet contacts the guiding member and to convey the transfer sheet at a part of the conveying guide or the guiding member in a position higher than the position of the leading edge of the transfer sheet contacting the conveying guide or the guiding member, so that the contact area between the transfer sheet and the image carrier increases.

摘要： An image forming apparatus and method in which a transfer device is provided in a position separated from an image carrier. A transfer sheet is conveyed along and contacting a part of a circumferential surface of the image carrier facing the transfer device when transferring a toner image from the image carrier to the transfer sheet. A conveying guide is included to guide and covey the transfer sheet separated from the image carrier to a fixing unit. The method of manufacturing a printed circuit board 10 according to the present invention includes a step of selectively forming a plating layer 16 for lands 22a and 22b on a metal foil 14 on the printed circuit board 10, a step of adjusting the thickness of the plating layer 16, and a step of forming the metal foil 14 into lines 14a. The aspect ratio of via holes 28 formed on lands 22a and 22b can be adjusted by adjusting the thickness of the lands 22a and 22b.
