摘要: An information processing system includes a sensor that obtains sensor data. The system also includes a feature extracting mechanism that extracts a feature of an object based on the sensor data obtained by the sensor. Further, the system includes an event determining mechanism that obtains the feature extracted by the feature extracting mechanism so as to determine whether an event has occurred based on determination parameters. In addition, the system includes a display-data generating mechanism that generates, when an occurrence of the event is determined by the event determining mechanism, display data including event data for reporting the occurrence of the event. A display displays an indication based on the event data. An input reception mechanism receives an input based on the indication displayed by the display. A controller turns off a power source of the sensor based on the input received by the input reception mechanism.

摘要: A feature extracting unit obtains sensor data from a plurality of sensors to calculate each feature. When an event determining unit determines the occurrence of an event based on each feature, a display data constructor generates remote-controller display data for displaying the event, and controls a remote-controller display device to display the remote-controller display data. When a user decision is input from a user input if based on this display, a control unit controls the sensors to be turned ON or OFF. When an infrared sensor detects an abnormality, a microwave sensor whose power consumption is small after the infrared sensor is turned ON. When the microwave sensor detects an abnormality, a video camera and a microphone are turned ON, and the microwave sensor is turned OFF. A communication unit wirelessly transmits an image signal captured by the video camera and an audio signal processed by the microphone. Then, if the infrared sensor does not detect an abnormality, the video camera and the microphone are turned OFF. With this arrangement, power consumption can be suppressed. The present invention is applied to, for example, a security system, for example, for monitoring outside a vehicle by a video camera disposed in the vehicle when the vehicle is parked.

摘要: An ozonizer has a flat plate-shaped low voltage electrode 7, a flat plate-shaped high voltage electrode 3 facing a main surface of the low voltage electrode 7. The ozonizer also has a flat plate-shaped dielectric 5 and a spacer for forming a discharge gap 6 of a thin thickness in a laminating direction provided between the low voltage electrode 7 and the electrode 3, an electrode cooling sheet 1 provided facing a main surface of the electrode 3 at a side opposite the discharge gap 6 for cooling the electrode 3. The ozonizer also has a thermal conducting/electric insulating sheet 2 sandwiched between the electrode 3 and the electrode cooling sheet 1. An alternating voltage is applied between the low voltage electrode 7 and the electrode 3 and a discharge is produced in the discharge gap 6 injected with oxygen gas to produce ozone gas.

摘要: An authentication processing apparatus for performing authentication based on a user's normal operation is provided. The authentication processing apparatus performs the authentication processing on the basis of operation information obtained from normally operating an information processing apparatus. Operation information obtained from operating an input unit by the user, such as a keyboard inputting mode, is obtained to serve as operation information, and the obtained operation information is checked against operation information registered in a database to perform authentication. Authentication is thus made possible without requiring the user to perform the special input processing for the authentication processing. Authentication is performed taking into consideration a plurality of pieces of operation information. With the checking processing in which less dispersed data is weighted, user authentication with high accuracy is made possible.

摘要: In the present invention, a surface 7 of a glass substrate 1 is irradiated with a laser beam 2 to thereby form a V-shaped groove 6. At that time, the laser beam 2 is condensed outside and above the glass substrate 1. The distance between a beam-condensing point 4 of the laser beam 2 and the surface 7 of the glass substrate 1 is changed to thereby make it possible to change the angle between opposite side surfaces of the V-shaped groove. The angle is in a range of from 30 degrees to 120 degrees. Further, the laser beam used in the present invention is pulsed light, preferably with a pulse width not larger than 10 picoseconds.
