A docking station is used which receives a wireless telephone and electrically interfaces with in, including power, audio and data interfaces. A controller manages the interface to a transceiver, and speakerphone. A cordless telephone communicates with the transceiver, thereby enabling the utilization of a cordless telephone over a wireless telephone network. No wiring or installation is required, and the convenience and usability of the medium is enhanced.

    摘要: A reusable thermal ink sheet used for thermal printing has a thermal ink composition layer formed on a substrate. The thermal ink composition is a mixture of ink material and filler. The ink material includes a coloring agent and a low temperature melting compound which is a solid at room temperature and is melted during thermal printing in response to a printing image to be transferred. The low temperature melting compound contains a urethane compound as a base material and additive materials as viscosity modulators thereof which lower the viscosity of the ink material at printing temperature. The additive materials contain at least one material selected from the group consisting of fatty acid compounds, fatty acid amide compounds and ester compounds. The improved ink sheet assures a high quality printing image is transferred to a plain paper having a rough surface when thermal printing occurs ten times or more. In addition, ghost images are not formed and background noise is eliminated. Further, a plasticizer is added to the ink material described above, thereby improving the thermal printing ability at a low temperature.

    摘要: A fixing device for fixing on a recording material a toner image formed on the recording material includes: a flexible sleeve including a resinous base layer, a parting layer, and an adhesive layer for bonding the base and parting layers; a heater contacting the sleeve; a pressor for forming a nip with the sleeve, in which the recording material is nipped and conveyed; a member for applying a voltage, with the same polarity as toner; and a grounder contacting the recording material in the nip, for grounding the recording material. In a thickness direction of the layers, the electric resistance of the adhesive layer is larger than that of the parting layer, which is larger than that of the base layer. The member applies the voltage to the sleeve in contact with the base layer.

    摘要: A telephone docking station that combines the operation of a wireless telephone, a cordless telephone, and a land-line telephone interface is taught. The wireless telephone and land-line interface provide telephone resources to the cordless telephone, which functions as a telephone terminal unit. Telephone calls can originate or terminate from either telephone resource. The cordless telephone handset provides for selection and display of the presently connected telephone resource. Caller ID information from both resources are routed to the cordless telephone. The cordless telephone automatically answers the presently ringing resource when is received. A speakerphone and an answering machine are added as alternative telephone terminal units in an illustrative embodiment. A Caller ID preview and hold function is provided so that the user can manage multiple calls from the telephone resources.
