Abstract:
Provided is a satellite radio-controlled watch, which is capable of holding back a receiving operation when in a posture that does not allow normal reception of a satellite signal, and is capable of performing a receiving operation under conditions varied to suit the type of reference information to be obtained. The satellite radio-controlled watch includes: a reception circuit (31) for receiving a satellite signal; and a controller (47) for sequentially detecting a received light amount of the satellite radio-controlled watch, calculating a received light variation which is an amount of change of the received light amount, and controlling the reception circuit (31) to start an operation of receiving the satellite signal, based on the received light variation. Alternatively, the controller (47) stores a condition for activating the reception circuit in order to obtain the reference information, in association with each piece of the reference information, and determines, when each piece of the reference information is obtained, whether or not the activation condition stored in association with each piece of the reference information is satisfied, and then controls the reception circuit (31) to start an operation of receiving the satellite signal, based on a result of the determination.
Abstract:
In a system for driving a starter with a pinion so that the starter rotates a ring gear coupled to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine to crank the internal combustion engine during a drop of a rotational speed of the crankshaft by automatic-stop control of the internal combustion engine, a predictor predicts a future trajectory of the drop of the rotational speed of the crankshaft based on information associated with the drop of the rotational speed of the crankshaft. A determiner determines a timing of the driving of the starter based on the future trajectory of the drop of the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine.

Abstract:
In a working gas circulation engine, water vapor contained in exhaust gas after combustion is separated and removed at higher efficiency as compared with the conventional technology, the influence of remaining water vapor is prevented from reducing the ratio of specific heats of working gas and deteriorating the thermal efficiency of the engine.A working gas circulation engine which comprises a circulation passage part which connects an inlet port communicated to a combustion chamber and an exhaust port communicated to the combustion chamber in the exterior of the combustion chamber, supplies fuel, oxygen, and working gas to the combustion chamber to burn the fuel in the combustion chamber, and supplies the working gas contained in the exhaust gas discharged through the exhaust port from the combustion chamber to the combustion chamber through the circulation passage part and the inlet port. The working gas circulation engine comprises a water vapor condensing means which interposes in said circulation passage part and has an entrance part and an exit part, the water vapor condensing means removes water vapor from gas flowing thereinto through the entrance part from said circulation passage part by condensing water vapor contained in the gas and discharges the gas from the exit part to said circulation passage part, a gas pressure detecting means to detect the pressure of the gas flowing into said water vapor condensing means, and a gas pressure adjusting means to adjust the pressure detected by said gas pressure detecting means.
Abstract:
This invention provides a tube having durability against harsh flexion, shrinkage, torsion, or the like and reduced slip resistance between tubes or upon contact with another member. Such tube is used for a product comprising a site at which a plurality of tubes are fixed at both ends and tied together with each other and/or in contact with another member, and the sites of fixation at the both ends are sites of motion at which reciprocal movement is repeated. Such tube is obtained via extrusion molding of a thermoplastic polyether ester elastomer and has a satin-finished outer surface. The invention also provides a method for preparing such tube.

Abstract:
In a system, a starter includes a motor for rotatably driving an output shaft with a pinion and an actuator that shifts the pinion toward a ring gear to be engaged with the ring gear. A monitor unit monitors a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine. The rotational speed of the internal combustion engine drops after an automatic control for stop of the engine. When an engine restart request occurs with the rotational speed being within a preset range during the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine dropping by the automatic control for stop of the engine, a drive unit drives the actuator to shift the pinion toward the ring gear to be engaged with the ring gear. The drive unit rotatably drives the motor with the pinion being engaged with the ring gear to thereby crank the crankshaft.
