Abstract:
A bearing for a rolling-mill roll (1) having two stub shafts (2) of which at least one is equipped with a journal bushing (3) mounted to resist torque, a bearing bushing (9) held in a mount (10) surrounding the journal bushing (3), a bearing lubricant film provided between the journal bushing (4) and the bearing bushing (9), and a pressure ring (11) is characterized in that the journal (2) and the journal bushing (3) are connected to one another by a polygonal connection.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for preparing a bearing arrangement for a roll journal, wherein the bearing arrangement comprises a bearing insert, with a bearing bush, and a journal bush which is mounted with bearing play in the bearing bush and can be pushed onto the roll journal. In order to extend the service life of the bearing arrangement and therefore to save costs, the method according to the invention provides, in order to eliminate scoring, for the external diameter Da of the journal bush also to be reduced below a threshold value Dak and at the same time for a novel bearing bush to be supplied which, with regard to its internal diameter Di new, is adapted to the reduced external diameter of the bearing bush in such a way that the bearing play remains within a predefined permissible value range.
Abstract:
An oil film bearing (1) for roll pins (4), which or whose pin bush (3) that is placed thereon is surrounded by a bearing bush (3) placed in an insert (2). The bearing bush has at least two inner lying hydrostatic pockets (9, 9′), which are arranged, in essence, in a common axial line and which can be supplied with a pressure medium via a check valve (18) and via boreholes (6, 6′) extending inside the bearing bush (5). Throttles (15, 15′) inside the boreholes (6, 6′) ensure an optimal hydrostatic bearing even when the roll pin (4) or the pin bush (3) is in an oblique position inside the bearing bush (5). The aim of the invention is to improve an oil film bearing of the aforementioned type whereby economically assuring the hydrostatic function of the bearing and in which the inspection of the throttles (15, 15′) is possible without further ado. To this end, the invention provides that the at least two boreholes (6, 6′) are connected to a connection block (12), the throttles (15, 15′) are accommodated inside this connection block (12), and the check valve (18) is assigned to said connection block (12).

Abstract:
A journal seal for rolling bearings, wherein the journal seal includes a ring-shaped sealing body, which is rotatably fixed to a roller journal with the bearing surface coaxially oriented in relation to the bearing axis and with at least two spaced webs facing away from the bearing axis. The webs being directly or indirectly in contact with an annular projection. A reinforcing element for that reinforces the sealing body. The reinforcing element has a width that is greater than the outer distance of the two webs.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for installing and removing a bearing assembly (3) which consists of a chock in which a trunnion hearing is arranged on a supporting roller stud (1) of a rolling stand. The aim of said invention is to replace said assembly by means of an operationally reliable device without carrying out modifications or large-scale modifications of the supporting roller stud (1), in particular to obtain reproducible mounting forces in order to ensure best long-term wear-less service possible, best possible rotation and easily controlled stripping forces for reliable operation of the rolling stand. The invention also relates to a nut (8) fixed to the roller stud (1) prestressed against the bearing assembly (3). According to said invention, a stripping device (11) can be temporarily coupled to the bearing assembly (3), the hydraulic cylinder (15) thereof resting against the roller stud (1).
Abstract:
In the case of a plain bearing having at least one support part (25), which is composed of an iron-containing base material, of a bearing sleeve (24) which is provided at the raceway side with a coating (8, 26) which is composed of a coating material, is formed as a melted-on layer and is metallurgically connected to the base material by means of an FeSn2-containing connecting zone (9), it is possible to obtain a long service life in that the thickness of the FeSn2-containing connecting zone (9) is at most 10 μm.

Abstract:
A device for dismounting the neck bush (4), the bearing bush (5), and the chock (6) from the conically constructed region of the roll neck (2) of a roll (1), where a pressure shoulder ring (8), which is supported on the end face of the neck bush (4), is installed on a roll neck shoulder (3) of the roll (1), is to be improved in such a way that it can be built very short and that it can carry out the dismounting movement with very small pressures of a pressure medium. To this end, it is proposed that a gap (11) be provided between the pressure shoulder ring (8) and the end face (7) of the roll neck (2), that the pressure shoulder ring (8) be coupled with the neck bush (4), and that at least one pressure medium for removing the neck bush (4) and the chock (6) be provided in the gap (11).
