摘要： A level shifting circuit for binary signals comprises a pair of equal value resistors connecting a common input signal to a pair of input terminals of a differential amplifier. A capacitor from one input terminal to ground stores the long term average input signal level for comparison with the instantaneous input signal level on the other input terminal. In another embodiment the range of input signal levels is modified by connecting equal value resistors from the input terminals to a voltage source. The invention provides amplification with minimum propagation delay, symmetrical propagation delay, a conventional logic level output signal and only requires a single power supply source for the amplifier circuit over a large range of input signal levels.

摘要： A patient alignment device is disclosed for use in open magnet MRI having a movable patient table to move a patient within the open magnet MRI in order to position a desired patient scan area accurately within the field-of-view (FOV) of the open magnet MRI. A first alignment light is placed on the outer periphery of the upper magnetic structure of the open MRI to emit a light beam in longitudinal alignment with a center point of the FOV. A second alignment light is positioned to emit a second light beam downwardly from the upper magnetic structure to indicate an interior reference point of the FOV. The second alignment light is then used to reposition a patient within the open magnet MRI without having to withdraw the patient from the open magnet MRI.

摘要： A system and method for providing a comprehensive overall health assessment is disclosed. A health assessment system includes first and second support structures oriented in a vertical fashion and spaced apart from one another to define a scanning area configured to receive a subject to be scanned, an x-ray imaging system incorporated into the first and second support structures and configured to acquire x-ray image data from the subject in a standing position, and at least one additional data acquisition device configured to acquire health related data from the subject. The health assessment system also includes a computer programmed to receive the x-ray image data and the health related data and generate a diagnostic output based on the x-ray image data and the health related data, the diagnostic output comprising at least one of a health related diagnosis and a recommendation for future action.

摘要： A system and method for acquiring x-ray imaging data from a subject is disclosed. The x-ray imaging system includes a first support structure oriented in a vertical fashion and a second support structure oriented in a vertical fashion and spaced apart from the first support structure to define a scanning area configured to receive a subject to be scanned. A linear x-ray source is affixed to the first support structure on one side of the scanning area and is oriented in a vertical fashion, with the linear x-ray source configured to emit x-rays towards the subject. A linear detector arrangement is affixed to the second support structure on another side of the scanning area and is generally opposite the linear x-ray source. The linear detector arrangement is configured to receive x-rays after passing through the subject.

A defibrillator device includes a housing and a handle attached to the housing constructed at least partially of a light-transmitting material. A user interface is positioned within the housing that includes a plurality of controls thereon, with the plurality of controls enabling a user to control an operating status of the defibrillator device. A light source is positioned within the housing that is configured to illuminate the handle in one of a plurality of colors. The defibrillator device also includes a processor configured to determine the operating status of the defibrillator device and selectively control the light source to illuminate the handle in one of the plurality of colors based on the determined operating status of the defibrillator device.

摘要： The present invention is a method and system for providing authorization to a customer to access content on a network. A network access provider providing network access to the customer provides verification of the identity of the customer to a content provider. The content provider then determines whether that customer is authorized to access the content and, if so, provides the customer with such access. The invention provides content access based on the identity of the customer, rather than on the identity of a device the customer uses to access the content. In that way, the customer is not restricted to accessing the content through only an authorized device.
