摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide an optical information storage apparatus and an optical information storage system with a mass-storage capacity in which adhesion of dust to an optical storage medium or an objective lens is suppressed. According to the present invention, a system housing contains an optical information storage apparatus that includes: an inflow section into which air flows from outside a blade housing integrally retaining a media storing section, a medium moving section and a recording/reproducing section; and an outflow section from which the air flowing into the inflow section flows out to outside the blade housing. The system housing also contains a blower that sends air to the inflow section.

摘要: A high-resolution light-beam scanning apparatus utilizing only mass-producible holograms instead of utilizing auxiliary optical systems, and capable of compensating for disadvantages. The light-beam scanning apparatus including diffraction gratings for minimizing either: a sum total of values obtained by weighting a square of an optical path length difference between an optical path of a light flux measured along a principle axis of a light beam incident on and diffracted by a first diffraction grating of a rotatable hologram, and incident on and diffracted by a second diffraction grating of a fixed plate to conduct a scanning and converging on a scanning point on an image formation surface, and an optical path of a light flux measured along a marginal ray distanced from the principal axis or an absolute value of the optical path difference thereof; or a sum total of values obtained by weighting a square of a sum obtained by adding an amount of displacement of a light-beam convergent on a scanning point on the image formation surface, to an amount of displacement of the same light. The displacement measured with respect to the principal axis of a phase recorded on the diffraction grating when the light flux is incident on the fixed plate or by weighting an absolute value of the sum. The weighting is conducted at every scanning position of an image formation surface.

摘要: The present invention relates to an optical scanning unit used for exposing a photosensitive drum of an image forming apparatus to light, and an image forming apparatus using this optical scanning unit. This optical scanning unit comprises a light source; an optical scanning mechanism for scanning with light from the light source; a start detecting mechanism for detecting scan light of the optical scanning mechanism at an end portion of a scanning range of the scan light to detect beginning of light scanning; and a frame which has a higher rigidity than that of a frame of an image forming apparatus and to which the light source, the optical scanning mechanism and the start detecting mechanism are attached. The image forming apparatus comprises an endless photosensitive body; charging unit for charging the photosensitive body; an optical scanning unit for exposing the photosensitive body to light, including a light source, an optical scanning mechanism having the same structure as the aforementioned optical scanning unit; a developing unit for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive body by light exposure by the optical scanning unit; and a transfer unit for transferring a toner image on the photosensitive body onto a sheet. Alteration of the optical path of the optical scanning unit by external force applied is made smaller by making the frame of the optical scanning unit more rigid than that of the image forming apparatus.
