Abstract:
A method is provided for producing a decorative part that has a closed cross-section having an external visible side and that has at least two support parts to be connected along a connecting joint. The support parts are held spaced at a distance from one another such that a gap is formed between the edges of the support parts which adjoin one another at the connecting joint. The support parts are inserted in at least two halves of a molding tool. A reaction plastic is injected into the molding tool, such that the reaction plastic penetrates the gap. The support parts are moved toward each other such that the gap closes while the reaction plastic is still liquid. The support parts are fixed against each other in this position at least until the plastic has sufficiently cured so as to form a bond seam in the connecting joint.
Abstract:
Steering wheel having a steering wheel rim which is hollow at least in some places and has ventilation openings for stabilizing the temperature of the steering rim. In the region of the at least one cavity, the steering wheel rim has a holder for fixing a fan module which sucks in environmental air and passes it into the cavity.
Abstract:
A steering column arrangement has an interior steering column tube which can be axially and telescopically adjusted by a spindle drive relative to an exterior steering column tube. A threaded spindle of the spindle drive is disposed by way of energy-absorbing bearing blocks. The longitudinally extending adjusting member is provided with a desired buckling point. At the level of the desired buckling point, a supporting bow is provided which is stationarily arranged on the exterior steering column tube, reaches at least partially over the desired buckling point and is designed to be plastically deformable.
Abstract:
A shifting arrangement for the shifting between a single-axle standard drive and an all-wheel drive having a first clutch for the locking of a central differential gear and a second clutch for the connecting and disconnecting of one vehicle axle actuated by first and second pressure medium control element respectively against the force of a spring having first and second shift valve respectively controlled by an electronic control unit, to either supply working pressure or relieve from pressure respective control elements. The improvement including a hydraulic identifying valve for bringing the control elements into a mutual interaction. The identifying valve operates, as a function of the working pressure of at least one of the control elements and exclusively during the simultaneous controlling of both shift valves, in such a way that the clutch torque at both clutches increases and decreases approximately to the same extent. As a result, when shifting into a shift step with a balanced all-wheel drive from standard drive, a shifting can first take place for a short time into an intermediate step with a longitudinally locked all-wheel drive for securing the driving stability.
Abstract:
An error correcting typewriter having separate elevating and feed mechanism for carbon and error correction ribbons includes a common cyclic motive source operable in response to type commands to drive a cam shaft which is axially shiftable by means of an electromagnet energized by a correction signal. Normally, the cam shaft is positioned in engagement with a carbon ribbon drive lever and out of engagement with an error correction ribbon drive lever. A shift of the cam shaft disengages it from the carbon ribbon drive lever and engages it with the error correction ribbon drive lever. The carbon ribbon drive lever simultaneously operates a carbon ribbon elevating mechanism and a feed mechanism. Energization of the electromagnet operates a lever which directly operates the correction ribbon feed mechanism and simultaneously shifts the cam shaft to engage it with the error correction ribbon drive lever which when driven is operative on the correction ribbon elevating mechanism.
Abstract:
To change a type disc without moving or removing a ribbon cartridge while yet permitting the location of a ribbon cartridge closer to the printing point of a type disc printer, there is provided mechanism to allow pivoting movement of a hammer assembly relative to an independently pivoted type disc drive assembly thereby to change their relative orientation, after which continued movement of the hammer assembly carries the pivotally mounted type disc drive assembly to a type disc change position. The change in orientation of the hammer assembly relative to the type disc drive assembly, before pivoting the type disc assembly, allows greater arcuate movement to type disc change position without interference between the hammer assembly and the ribbon cartridge.
Abstract:
An air bag for a motor vehicle has catch straps which are located on the inside and by means of which an upper bag surface directed towards a vehicle occupant and a lower-lying bag surface of the unfolded air bag having an opening for a gas generator are held against one another along the length of the catch straps. By one end, the catch straps integrally adjoin a flat connecting part via which they are fixed on the upper bag surface by means of at least one connecting seam which runs around said connecting part and lies nearest to the catch straps, the connecting seam being disposed perpendicular to the pulling direction of said catch strap in the region of each catch-strap connection at least over the greatest part of the connection width.
Abstract:
Keyboard generated signals are digitally encoded and converted to varying voltages for application to a coil for generating magnetic forces. The magnetic forces act on a spring mass system including a type disc to rotate the type disc to a selected angular position. The rest position of the disc at any selected angular position is established when the applied magnetic force and the force of an oppositely acting spring reach equilibrium condition. The spring stores or releases energy according to whether the applied magnetic force is greater or less than the existing spring force. The parameters of the system are so chosen that movement from one angular position of rest to another is smoothly accomplished in a given time.
Abstract:
An intermittent drive for a single-element printing typewriter, calculator or similar machine. The drive comprises a drive shaft couplable via a cycle clutch to a driven shaft and a governor disposed on the driven shaft to couple it with and maintain it at the same speed as the drive shaft during the clutch cycle. The governor comprises a friction wheel having a generally circular cross-section provided with flattened portions. During the clutch cycle, when the clutch engages the driven shaft, the friction wheel contacts a roll fixed to the drive shaft preventing the driven shaft from leading the drive shaft in response to reflected forces. At the end of the clutch cycle, when the clutch is disengaged, the friction wheel has rotated so that a flattened portion of the friction wheel faces the roll, and driven shaft is free from the rotation of the drive shaft.
Abstract:
According, two casing parts is disclosed for a spiral cable for connecting electrical line terminals between a stationary vehicle steering column and a rotatable steering wheel. One of the two casing parts has an annular space for the spiral cable which is open towards an axial face and the other casing part is in the form of a plate for covering the annular space. It is thus possible to arrange the two casing parts at an axial distance from one another and thus to prevent the two parts from rubbing against one another.
