摘要: An intermittent drive for a single-element printing typewriter, calculator or similar machine. The drive comprises a drive shaft couplable via a cycle clutch to a driven shaft and a governor disposed on the driven shaft to couple it with and maintain it at the same speed as the drive shaft during the clutch cycle. The governor comprises a friction wheel having a generally circular cross-section provided with flattened portions. During the clutch cycle, when the clutch engages the driven shaft, the friction wheel contacts a roll fixed to the drive shaft preventing the driven shaft from leading the drive shaft in response to reflected forces. At the end of the clutch cycle, when the clutch is disengaged, the friction wheel has rotated so that a flattened portion of the friction wheel faces the roll, and driven shaft is free from the rotation of the drive shaft.

摘要: There is provided a printing apparatus including: a frame; a platen; a moving mechanism having a first roller, a second roller, and a supporting member rotatably supporting the first and second rollers; a motor; a transmitting mechanism connected to the motor and the moving mechanism; a clutch provided on the transmitting mechanism; a sensor detecting a position of the moving mechanism; and a controller. The controller executes: starting driving of the motor so that the motor is rotated toward the other direction in a state that conveyance of the print medium by an external apparatus is stopped and that the clutch is in a connected state; performing determination as to whether the moving mechanism is located at an end, on a second side in the specified direction, of the moving range; and stopping the rotation of the motor.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes a print section configured to perform printing on a medium, a supply path configured to supply the medium toward the print section, a feeding roller configured to feed the medium along the supply path from an upstream side to a downstream side in a transport direction, a toothed roller provided on the downstream side of the feeding roller in the transport direction, a drive source configured to rotate the feeding roller and the toothed roller, and a controller configured to control driving of the drive source. The controller performs rotation control for rotating the feed roller prior to the rotation of the toothed roller with which the medium has collided. The controller performs the rotation control when the controller determines that the grammage of the medium is greater than or equal to a threshold value.
