摘要: A ported electroacoustical device uses the action of the port to provide cooling airflow across a heat producing device. The device includes a loudspeaker enclosure including a first acoustic port, and an acoustic driver, mounted in the loudspeaker enclosure. The device also includes a heat producing device. The acoustic driver and the acoustic port are constructed and arranged to coact to provide a cooling, substantially unidirectional airflow across the heat producing device, thereby transferring heat from the heat producing device.

摘要: A program with complete conditions for a usable mask yields a unitary mask, each try. One mask pattern is used throughout an image, but may be “tiled”. Preferably the program, for given mask position, expresses favorability of several candidate pass numbers as a “neighborhood constraint” in the form of a weight; distills the weights into one weight for each pass number; based on that, chooses a number for the position; and iterates for all positions. Many preferences are very useful, e. g. automatically balancing randomness vs. determinism, and several generalized relative notations. Another invention facet uses an input text file of mask constraints; a program reads constraints from the file, applies them, forms a mask and stores/uses it. Another reprocesses a mask for best image quality, fixing its own imperfections of first-round mask forming.

摘要: At least two different printmasks are used for different printing devices--such as inkjet pens--that operate concurrently, or different printing steps that proceed concurrently, to produce respective image swaths in a single, pixel-based printing machine. In one form of the invention, the different printing devices produce different respective pixel-row pitches (related to resolution) on a printing medium, and the different printmasks help to minimize adverse patterning effects that result from interaction of the different pitches with dot-placement errors. The different pitches on the print medium may be provided through different pitches of marking devices (for example, the number of inkjet nozzles per unit distance along a pen) or in other ways. In another form of the invention the different printing devices are provided with different respective liquid-base colorants, to mark in different colors on a printing medium, and the different masks facilitate physical separation of the different colorants to promote drying. Earlier-applied colorants have more time to dry and penetrate before later adjacent or superposed application of other colorants improving print attributes such as bleed, offset, cockle, curl, overall drying time and throughput.

摘要: A circuit for driving a power transistor that forms a part of an inverter circuit used in motor control in which the circuit is switched at high voltages. The motor drive circuit isolates and amplifies a control signal so as to operate the power switching transistors. The base drive circuit employs two characteristics of power transistors to derive maximum protection and maximum performance simultaneously. This control is accomplished by sensing both the collector-to-emitter voltage of the power transistor as well as the base-to-emitter voltage thereof.
