摘要： The present invention provides a sealed battery 10 including an electrode body 14 formed by winding a positive electrode plate 11, a negative electrode plate 12 and a separator 13 interposed therebetween so as to have a hollow portion 14a at the center, a tube-shaped center pin 20a inserted in the hollow portion 14a, a battery outer can 17 containing the electrode body 14, an external terminal 19 also serving as a safety valve 18 evacuating gas when a gas pressure in the battery outer can 17 exceeds a predetermined value. A slit 24a is formed on a peripheral surface of the center pin 20a, and a cutout part 22a is formed on at least an end of the center pin 20a at the external terminal 19 side.

摘要： The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a rolled electrode assembly 14E formed by rolling a positive electrode plate 11 and a negative electrode plate 12 with a separator 13 interposed therebetween, the separator 13 is fixed on the outermost periphery of the rolled electrode assembly 14E with an adhesive tape for fixing a roll end 30e, an exposed portion of a negative electrode substrate 12c without an active material mixture layer 12b is placed on an outermost periphery side of the negative electrode plate 12, a negative electrode tab 12a is connected to the negative electrode substrate 12c on an outermost periphery side, and the adhesive tape 30e is not overlapped with a roll end 11d of the positive electrode plate 11 and a roll end 12d of the negative electrode substrate 12c. Thus the battery is seldom broken even when charging and discharging are repeatedly provided at high voltage.

摘要： A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell superior in safety against overcharge and in high-temperature cycle characteristic is provided. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a non-aqueous electrolyte, and a pressure sensitive safety mechanism that is actuated upon increase in the cell internal pressure. The positive electrode contains lithium carbonate at 0.5 to 1.5 mass %. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a cycloalkyl benzene compound and/or a compound having a benzene ring and a quaternary carbon adjacent to the benzene ring, the compound or compounds being contained at 0.5 to 2 mass % in total.

摘要： The center pin 20 is cylindrical and tube-shaped, and each of the planes formed by the external surface of the center pin 20 in the vicinity of the edges 22a and 22b of the slit 21 is angled toward the inside of the center pin 20. The edges 22a and 22b are therefore arranged to be more inward than the imaginary circumference that complements the gap from the slit 21 of the center pin 20, and consequently, the edges 22a and 22b have less possibility of contacting and damaging the spiral-wound electrode assembly 10 in the event an external force deforms the center pin 20. Further, the planes formed by the external surface of the center pin 20 in the vicinal areas 23a and 23b of the edges 22a and 22b are angled so as to form an angle of no greater than 120 degrees.
