Abstract: Example telecommunications equipment cabinets include a cabinet housing, and at least one equipment chamber defined within the cabinet housing. The equipment chamber has one or more electrical components disposed therein. The telecommunications equipment cabinet also includes a battery box removably positioned in the cabinet housing. The battery box includes at least one battery, and the battery box is isolated from the equipment chamber to inhibit hydrogen gas from escaping the battery box into the at least one equipment chamber. Associated methods of exchanging components in a telecommunications equipment cabinet are also disclosed.

Abstract: An energy storage system comprising at least one energy storage module adapted to supply electrical energy to a hybrid vehicle. The energy storage module comprises an enclosure, at least one battery array located within the enclosure, and an energy storage controller module located within the enclosure and electrically connected to the battery array. The energy storage module further comprises a compliant tipped thermistor which may be installed within a flexible clip. The thermistor is positioned to monitor the temperature of one or more of the batteries within the energy storage system.

Abstract: Methods and systems for creating a battery module. A battery cell can include a vent in the bottom of the battery. To allow the battery to be attached to a cooling plate and allow the vent to function properly, an opening is formed in the cooling plate under the battery. The opening can vent gasses from the vent in the battery to atmosphere through a chamber in the cooling plate or a conduit in the cooling plate.

Abstract: A cylindrical lithium ion battery in which an electrode group formed by winding a positive electrode and a negative electrode is housed in a battery case is disclosed. A sealing plate seals an opening of the battery case. An insulating plate having a plurality of openings is provided on a side of the electrode group closer to the sealing plate. The plurality of openings include a first hole with a largest opening area, and a plurality of second holes with opening areas smaller than the opening area of the first hole. An opening ratio of the first hole is 12% or more and 40% or less; a sum of opening ratios of the second holes is 0.3% or more and 10% or less; and a total opening ratio of all the openings is 20% or more and 50% or less.

Abstract: A battery module includes a plurality of single cells, a battery chamber, an exhaust chamber, a partition wall, a smoke exhaust cover and a seal member. The exhaust chamber is provided adjacently to the battery chamber. Gas released from the single cells flows through the exhaust chamber. The exhaust chamber has one or more exhaust holes configured to release the gas to an outside. The partition wall isolates the exhaust chamber and the battery chamber from each other. The smoke exhaust cover is arranged so as to lace the partition wall. The exhaust chamber is surrounded by the partition wall, the smoke exhaust cover and the seal member. The smoke exhaust cover has a protective protrusion at a location between the seal member and the exhaust valves adjacent to the seal member. The protective protrusion is configured upright from the smoke exhaust cover toward the partition wall.
