摘要： A transmitting multi-row chain having easy disassembling or assembling such as dismounting or mounting a chain on its sprockets and, when even high load chain tension is applied, the high load is dispersed to each inner plate so that the load balance in the chain width direction is improved. A transmitting multi-row chain in which inner link units each comprising inner plates into which bushes are press-fitted are coupled in parallel with each other through intermediate plates in a width direction of the chain. The coupled inner link units are connected to each other in a large number by connecting pins having a diameter smaller than the diameters of the pin holes of the intermediate plate. The connecting pin is inserted into the pin hole 121 of the intermediate plate whose pitch between pin holes is narrower than the pitch between pin holes of the outer plate, the pin having a medial bend directed toward the pitch zone of the outer link in a state where chain tension is not generated. The bend extends substantially the full width between the outer and intermediate plates when chain tension is generated.

Further, an individual authentication apparatus that includes an image pickup unit and a control unit determines whether a subject is a living body from a change in shading on a first picked up image and a second picked up image. If the subject is a living body, an authentication function is initiated using a third picked up image, the authentication function determining whether or not to authorize the subject.

C., adding a compound represented by the formula:R--NH.sub.2wherein R represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-12 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 7-11 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6-10 carbon atoms,to the polymerization reaction liquid, carrying out reaction of the resulting mixture at 150.degree. to 300.degree. C. in an imidization reaction zone, and finally separating volatile substances from the reaction fluid.

摘要： A roller chain includes a sintered oil-impregnated bushing loosely fitted coaxially on a connection pin for outer plates, a roller fitted for rotation on and around the sintered oil-impregnated bushing, and a needle roller bearing interposed between the sintered oil-impregnated bushing and the roller and having grease charged therein. Lubricant of the sintered oil-impregnated bushing side and the grease of the needle roller bearing side supplement oil components to each other and the overall amounts of the grease and the lubricant of the roller chain can be effectively utilized to allow the roller chain to be used without supplement lubricant for a long period of time. Thus, the roller chain can suppresses a local out-of-oil condition and make effective use of the overall amount of available oil components of grease to assure a reduced frictional resistance upon running of the roller chain for a long period of time thereby to exhibit a superior abrasion resistance and durability.

摘要： A frictional transmission chain drive for use between V-groove pulleys comprises a series of C-shaped chain struts and friction force struts superposed along the length of an endless transmission chain. The chain struts are fitted in grooves located across link plates of the chain, with their open ends alternately located on opposite sides of the transmission chain. The friction force struts are provided with recesses which grip the chain to prevent sideways movement of the struts relative to the chain. The friction force struts on opposite sides of a chain strut can have their open ends on the same said of the chain as the open end of the chain strut, or, alternatively, can have their open ends on the side of the chain opposite the side on which the open end of the chain strut is located.
