摘要: A semicrystalline poly ketone powder useful for additive manufacturing may be made by dissolving a polyketone having differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) monomodal melt peak, at a temperature above 50° C. to below the melt temperature of the polyketone, precipitating the dissolved polyketone by cooling, addition of a nonsolvent or combination thereof. The method may be used to form polyketones having a DSC melt peak with an enthalpy greater than the starting polyketone.

摘要: A nonlimiting example method of forming polyamide polymer particles having pigments therein may comprising: mixing a mixture comprising a polyamide having a pigment pendent from a backbone of the polyamide (PP-polyamide), a carrier fluid that is immiscible with the PP-polyamide, and optionally an emulsion stabilizer at a temperature greater than a melting point or softening temperature of the PP-polyamide and at a shear rate sufficiently high to disperse the PP-polyamide in the carrier fluid; and cooling the mixture to below the melting point or softening temperature of the PP-polyamide to form solidified particles comprising the PP-polyamide and, when present, the emulsion stabilizer associated with an outer surface of the solidified particles. Said solidified particles may be used in additive manufacturing to make a variety of objects like containers, toys, furniture parts and decorative home goods, plastic gears, automotive parts, medical items, and the like.

摘要: The present invention provides resin beads that can provide various types of products, such as a cosmetic having excellent tactile impression, spreadability on the skin, and transparency, that can be substituted for resin particles composed of a synthetic material derived from petroleum, and that have favorable biodegradability, and the present invention also provides various types of products, such as a cosmetic using the resin beads. The resin beads are formed with a resin containing cellulose as a main component. The resin beads have a cumulative 50% particle size on a volume basis of 50 μm or smaller, a degree of sphericity of 0.7 to 1.0, a degree of surface smoothness of 70 to 100%, a degree of solidity of 50 to 100%, and a biodegradation rate for 5 days, as measured in accordance with JIS K6950:2000 (ISO 14851:1999), of 20% or more, and the content of the cellulose in the resin is 90 to 100% by mass. In addition, the present invention provides a product of any one of a cosmetic, a dermatological preparation, a paint, a shaped article, a film, a coating agent, and a resin composition which contain the resin beads.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for producing lignin in particle form from a liquid containing lignin-containing raw material, the method comprising at least: reacting the liquid with a cross-linking agent (step a)), precipitating the lignin, thereby forming lignin particles in the liquid (step b)), and separating the liquid from the lignin particles formed in step b) (step c)), and wherein, in step b), the liquid is heat-treated, after precipitation, at a temperature in the range of 60 to 200° C. for a period of 1 minute to 6 hours, and/or, in an additional step d) after step c), the lignin particles separated from the liquid are heat-treated at a temperature in the range of 60 to 600° C. The invention also relates to lignin particles which can be obtained according to the method, lignin particles per se, a use of the lignin particles as filler, and a rubber composition comprising, inter alia, a filler component, the latter containing lignin particles as a filler.

摘要: One embodiment shows a method for producing porous cellulose particles, including:
(a) dissolving cellulose diacetate into a solvent to prepare a cellulose diacetate solution;
(b) dispersing the cellulose diacetate solution into a medium immiscible with the cellulose diacetate solution to obtain a dispersed system;
(c) cooling the dispersed system;
(d) adding a poor solvent to the cooled dispersed system to precipitate cellulose diacetate particles; and
(e) saponifying the cellulose diacetate particles.-

摘要: A biopolymer blend is provided that comprises a combination of three components: poly (butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT); agriculture sourced polylactic acid (PLA); and engineered proteinaceous eggshell nanoparticles. The two polymer components can be present in any ratio but an approximate 70:30 ratio is preferred. The engineered proteinaceous eggshell nanoparticles are preferably about 10-25 nanometers. Also provided are methods of preparing biopolymer film and packaging components. Pelleted poly (butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) and agriculture sourced polylactic acid (PLA) are dissolved in chloroform and mixed together to form a polymer blend, and engineered proteinaceous eggshell nanoparticles are incorporated into the polymer blend, which is then extruded to create a biopolymer film or component.

摘要: A process for the manufacture of thermoplastic polymer particles include combining a first solution having a polyetherimide, a polycarbonate, or a combination thereof and an organic solvent with an aqueous solution including a surfactant, and agitating the resulting mixture using a shear force generating device operating at a preselected peripheral rotational speed to provide an emulsion. The emulsion is heated to remove the organic solvent and provide an aqueous polymer dispersion including the thermoplastic polymer particles.
