    摘要: A magnetically actuated locking mechanism includes a male section and a female section releasably coupled to the male section. The male section includes a male body, a projection extending from one end of the male body and including a transverse bore, and a locking element movable between an unlocked position wherein the locking element is received within the bore and a locked position wherein the locking element is partly extracted from the bore. A first magnet is embedded in the locking element. The female section includes a female body having a guide cavity dimensioned to receive the projection, and a transverse locking recess dimensioned to lockingly receive a part of the locking element as extracted. A second magnet is embedded in the female body adjacent to the locking recess. The first and second magnets have opposed polarities and are operatively associated with each other to magnetically urge the locking element from the unlocked position to the locked position when the locking element is aligned with the locking recess after the projection is inserted into the guide cavity.

    摘要: A security tag holder is releasably clamped onto a garment. The holder includes first and second members coupled for relative pivotal movement about a pivot pin. The first member includes first clamping and locking regions at opposite sides of the pin, respectively. The second member includes second clamping and locking regions at opposite sides of the pin. The first locking region has a recess and a fixed magnet. The second locking region has a bore and a movable magnet movable between an unlocking position wherein the movable magnet is received in the bore and a locking position wherein the movable magnet is partly inserted into the recess and attracted to the fixed magnet. When the first and second members are urged against each other to clamp the garment, the movable magnet is moved from its unlocking to locking position to lock the first and second members against relative pivotal movement.

    摘要: In a method and an apparatus for removing an image forming substance such as toner from an image holding member such as a sheet of transfer paper, a liquid providing unit is constructed by plural coating devices such as three coating devices each having a coating roller, a restricting roller and a liquid container for liquid storage. The coating devices are arranged along a conveying path of the transfer paper sheet. A liquid is provided to the transfer paper sheet from both face sides thereof by using a mist generator, etc. in the liquid providing unit. The coating and restricting rollers are arranged such that no coating and restricting rollers come in contact with the transfer paper sheet so as not to restrict the transfer paper sheet. A surface of each of the coating and restricting rollers is desirably constructed such that this surface is hydrophilic. Another toner removing apparatus is also shown. A drive roller device for supporting an offset belt for conveying the transfer paper sheet is also shown.

    摘要: A nose pad assembly is slidably mounted to an eyeglass frame by which a pair of multifocal lenses are held. The nose pad assembly includes a pair of oval nose pads within which elongated guide grooves are defined. Two pairs of upper and lower magnets are coaxially and fixedly mounted in the upper and lower ends of the respective nose pads. A pair of slides are slidably moved along the guide grooves and attached to a pair of pad arms of the eyeglass frame. The slides include a corresponding pair of slide magnets positioned within the respective guide grooves. The slide magnets are selectively attracted to the upper and lower magnets to hold the eyeglass frame in its upper and lower positions, respectively. A bridge member extends between the upper end of the nose pads. The bridge member is configured to resist a substantially vertical force which may be applied thereto when the eyeglass frame is moved between its upper and lower positions. The bridge member is free to flex in a substantially horizontal direction so that orientation of the nose pads can readily be adjusted.

    摘要: It is intended to provide asymmetric porous films which are usable in blood dialysis, plasma separation, etc. and particularly excellent in the performance of selectively separating (fractionating) plasma protein, show little endogenous coagulation, complement or quinine activily and have an extremely high biocompatibility. Porous films made mainly of a synthetic polymer and having an asymmetric structure wherein, in the sectional structure, a dense layer substantially not charged at least on the outermost surface is provided in the side on which a liquid to be treated is loaded and at least part of the film other than the outermost surface is negatively charged. In the above films, the dense layer non-charged at least on the outermost surface serves as a size barrier while the part of the film other than the outermost surface serves as a charge barrier.
