    摘要: A substrate with banks having end channels is provided to advantageously allow excess fluid collecting on one part of the substrate to flow to another part of the substrate. An excess of fluid collecting in a particular area of the substrate may flow to an area of the substrate where it would not interfere with the manufacturing process. The end channels may be modified with wave breakers that act as buffers to redirect excess fluid and/or with capillary-force homogeneity enhancers that pull excess fluid away from other parts of the substrate. The end channels may also contain line-end reservoirs that provide additional room for excess fluid to collect.

One embodiment provides a system comprising nozzles adapted to deliver droplets to target points on the substrate, a first camera, and means for determining an angular rotation of the substrate in a coordinate system. In some embodiments the means for determining the angular rotation includes a second camera. The substrate has a top surface and alignment marks. The nozzles have droplet delivery openings oriented towards the substrate for delivery of the droplets. The first camera is oriented substantially towards the nozzle openings, and the second camera is oriented substantially towards the substrate top surface.

    摘要: Poly-siloxane material may be used to form an insulating structure in an organic light-emitting device (OLED). In addition to the insulating structure, an OLED may have an electro-luminescent organic layer separated into light-emitting elements, e.g., display pixels, arranged between electrode layers. A voltage applied across the electrode layers causes the device to emit light. One type of insulating structure may be a bank structure formed from a thin sheet of poly-siloxane with apertures corresponding to the display pixels. Pixels may be formed with the deposit of one or more layers of organic material into the apertures. Another type of insulating structure may be one or more insulating strips, which may separate an electrode layer into electrode strips during construction and/or insulate electrode strips while the OLED is in operation.

In a preferred embodiment a single small capacitor or an array of capacitors is used to measure the dielectric properties of ink-jet droplets and the absolute drop volumes are derived. In an alternative preferred embodiment the relative differences in drop volumes are determined. A feedback circuit, such as one using lock-in technique, may be used to automatically adjust subsequent drop volumes.
