摘要: The invention relates to a method for operating a communication network (101), in particular an Ethernet network. Network devices (1) which are coupled to the network comprise a switch device (4), a first and a second control device (2, 3) which are coupled to the switch device (4), and the switch device (4) comprises for the first and the second control device (2, 3) a respective input port (10, 14) and emitter port (9, 13) for sending and receiving data via the communication network (6). Ring-shaped communication paths for data are provided so that redundant data can be transmitted in different directions and checked for consistency. An improved protection against failure and error analysis in the event of transmission errors are ensured by the ring-shaped structure using bidirectional communication paths. The invention further relates to a network arrangement (101) comprising several corresponding network devices (100, 200, 300) which operate according to the method.

摘要: The claimed interface extension device is based on a network device (DCC) having at least one previously unoccupied digital data output (OUT), to which an interface extension module (IOE) having at least one supply voltage input (S) and having a plurality of digital interfaces is coupled in the claimed manner. In this way, the supply voltage input (S) of the interface extension module (IOE) is interconnected with the digital data output (OUT) of the network device (DCC), so that in event of an error, the interface extension module (IOE) and all the digital interfaces thereof can be switched off. In addition, by measuring the sum current flowing through the outputs of the interface extension module, the load diagnosis capacity of the network configuration can be extended to the interface extension device. The claimed interconnection of the supply voltage input (S) of the interface extension module with the digital data output (OUT) of the network configuration has the advantage of also implementing a fail-safe behavior for conventional interface extension modules.

摘要: The invention relates to an array of control devices having a plurality of control devices (1-3, 20-23) which are interconnected via a first data bus (4), in a means of transportation, control devices (1-3; 20-23) which are of redundant configuration with respect to a control function being provided, and in each case a data bus isolating switch (5) being assigned to the control devices (1-3; 20-23) which are of redundant configuration, said data bus isolating switch(s) connecting or disconnecting the data bus (4) as a function of an evaluation signal. In order to optimize the redundant array, each of these data bus isolating switches (5) is connected to a signal line of at least one further redundant control device (1-3; 20-23), a further redundant control device (2, 3; 21; 23) transmits an evaluation signal to the data bus isolating switch (5) which is assigned to a first redundant control device (1; 20; 22), the evaluation signal being the result of functional checking of the further redundant control device (2, 3; 21; 3) with respect to the first redundant control device (1; 20; 22). The data bus isolating switch (5) of the first redundant control device (1; 20; 22) disconnects the data bus (4) as a function of the result of a logic circuit, at least one input signal of the logic circuit being formed by the at least one evaluation signal.

摘要: A redundant data bus system has two data buses between which at least two failsafe control devices are connected. The two data buses operate with the same data bus protocol at essentially the same transmission frequency, and safety-related control messages are transmitted in parallel via both data buses and processed in the control devices. Each control device performs a separate control task via assigned control software. Each control device has two microcomputers which operate independently of one another and which have software for both the first and the second control tasks. When one control device fails, the control task can also be performed by the other. One data interface is arranged between the two microcomputers, via which result data calculated from the safety-related control messages can be exchanged and compared with one another. Based on such comparison a decision means determines which microcomputer or control device carries out a control task.

摘要: A prosthetic attachment for a prosthetic limb. A base is attached to the prosthetic limb. The base has a magnet that is surrounded by base valleys and base peaks. An attachment piece is attached to the prosthetic attachment. The attachment piece also has a magnet that is surrounded by attachment piece valleys and attachment piece peaks. The magnetic force between the base magnet and the attachment piece magnet attracts the prosthetic attachment to the prosthetic limb so that the base peaks and valleys mates with the attachment piece peaks and valleys for a secure removable attachment. In a preferred embodiment a locking device is used to further secure the prosthetic attachment to the prosthetic limb. In a preferred embodiment the prosthetic attachment is a prosthetic hand and the prosthetic limb is a prosthetic arm.
