摘要: Techniques for resilient communication. A data path stores data to be transmitted over a link to a receiving node. An output stage is coupled between the data path and the link. The output stage includes double sampling mechanisms to preserve a copy of data transmitted over the link to the receiving node. Error detection circuitry is coupled with the output stage to detect transient timing errors in the data path or output stage. The error detection circuitry causes the output stage to send the copy of the data transmitted over the link in response to detecting an error.

摘要: A method is provided for conditioning a tubular knitted fabric. The method includes the step of placing on a supported member a tubular knitted fabric formed of yarns, the yarns having fibers of a high cotton content. The layers of the fabric are arranged in overlying layered relation, each layer having an outer surface. The fabric is traversed at a preselected rate while subjecting the outer surfaces of the overlying layers to jets of fluid at pressures of about 40 bar absolute or lower. The fibers forming the overlying layers do not interlock the overlying layers and are separable by subsequent fabric finishing or laundering.

摘要: A process and apparatus for orienting a plurality of bast stalks for decortication includes receiving a plurality of harvested bast stalks onto a moving belt. The belt has a longitudinal axis in the direction the belt is moving. The process and apparatus orients a substantial portion of the plurality of harvested bast stalks on the belt so that the harvested bast stalks are generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the belt. The oriented plurality of bast stalks may be collected for decortication.

摘要: A method for harvesting bast plants that have stalks, husks, and seeds. The method includes cutting the bast stalks from the bast plants and receiving the bast stalks onto a first belt. The method then orients at least a portion of the bast stalks on the first belt by moving a bar back and forth across the first belt in a direction generally perpendicular to the direction the first belt is moving, the bar elevated above the first belt and having spaced tines extending toward the first belt, the longitudinal axis of the at least a portion of the bast stalks being generally oriented in the direction the first belt is moving. The husks and seeds may be removed from the bast stalks. The bast stalks may be packaged.

摘要: A web-based system for collecting and managing administrative details of a member in a managed care organization. The system collects and makes available over the Internet to all concerned parties digital information that can be selectively retrieved, viewed and managed by all authorized participants. This information, for example, includes the personal demographic details concerning the member and their eligible dependents, their plan elections and preferences, and their benefits usage history. The aggregated information is stored in a central database, using a “member account” paradigm. The member supplies the base information for the member account at initial enrollment in a health plan, either directly through the Internet or through an interface to their employer's human resources data system. Such information is then available to be shared via the Internet with a health provider, new employer or health insurance plan, or for the member themselves. Historical information about expenditures, usage, payments, and the like, can then be added to the record as experienced, allowing a greater ability to derive value from the contained information.
